Concept Art Feature: Alternative Armors

This was a fun conceptual idea that a viewer (Greyfeather) in the livestream requested:

Ooo I got an idea, what about like different sets of Gilded Armour but themed to different characters? Like a Violet set of Gilded armour, or an Oxob one?

What a great idea! I love it when video games allow you to customize your character with skins inspired by other characters. Bonus points if the outfit serves a practical purpose.

The Light Sniper outfit would be a Violet-inspired set of Gilded armor designed for infantry-style archery out in the field. The blue is taken from her dress color, as well as the sleeveless torso and golden bow. I added a protective visor that would shield Gildedguy's eyes from the sun for more precise aiming. The last touch is a Violet-hair inspired plume on the helmet. I'm happy with how this design turned out, since it integrates Violet's femininity without overpowering the classic Knight look (in my humble opinion).

I imagined the Spark Shield outfit to be an even more effective conductor of electricity than Gildedguy's armor at the end of Vs Oxob. This time fully encapsulating the wearer, and copying Oxob's gauntlets (with fingers!!), I see this armor allowing Gildedguy to fully channel electricity from an outside source. There is zero cloth on the exterior, but maybe there'd be some soft padding on the inside for comfort. The color scheme omits any reds, opt'ing for the sharp energetic cyan-highlights from Oxob's design.

If I were to someday make a Gildedguy game, I'd love to offer these armor sets as an unlockable option, with their own bonus effects. Functional appearances like these are a great way to expand worldbuilding, and it's always fun to see how different characters' personalities can be expressed in the form of fashion.
