September Bonus: Tucker Carlson's "The End of Men"
Added 2023-09-29 09:00:04 +0000 UTCThis month we watched Tucker Carlson's documentary "The End of Men" and WE HAVE THOUGHTS. We're tackling the REAL questions posed by this documentary: is this the series finale of men? Is there an entire generation of American children who simply don't know how to walk? And why is anyone talking about scrotal red light therapy??

Ok so there's no studies to support their claims, so they rely on their own experience. BUT THEN. When people in minority groups who are ACTUALLY lacking in research have to muddle their way through healthcare mostly relying on crowd sourcing and their own experiences, then they're hysterical or making things up or should really stick to what the data supports. Make it make sense (you can't because they don't)

2025-04-15 13:33:40 +0000 UTCI'm a trans dude on t and I was briefly at t levels that were higher than a cis man's before adjusting my dose. I did not suddenly become a stertypical manly man because of this. Also I have a memory of being forced to watch some documentary about how men will stop existing because of a really specific chemical found in plastic. Not sure if it's connected to this movie but it also claims men have lower t, sperm and fertility.

2024-08-08 23:18:36 +0000 UTCI don’t get how these men in these documentaries can simultaneously claim that they are slaves to their hormones (testosterone) and also they are the more rational ones…

2024-06-08 07:57:14 +0000 UTC"there aren't many peer reviewed studies on the things bros are interested in, so we rely on our own experiences" lmao so bro science is, by definition, anecdotal evidence and not science at all

2024-02-10 07:05:48 +0000 UTCI’m so late to this episode, but holy shit. My father-in-law has been spouting this bs for so long. He is currently in the hospital dying from organ failure because of all of the illegal steroids he’s been taking to offset “low-T”. It’s been a long time building to this point, but it’s so chilling to hear this and see what he’s done to himself.

2023-11-07 17:22:47 +0000 UTCIve been following you guys or a year on here and have never commented so hi. I wanted to say the montage cuts that you were talking about and how it quickly just moves from one image to another really reminds me of how my younger sister (professional animator) described cocomelon to me. The idea is to put a bunch of loosely correlated things on screen to get you to mentally make connections that might not even be there but not linger on them long enough because if you were to you would find that there's no actual substance to be found. I'll now be thinking of this documentary as cocomelon for right wing jackoffs who have "RETVRN" in their twitter bio.
