AFTERCARE ASMR FAV LYRICS BABBLE (ASMR, Sleep Aid)

Hey!

This audio is an hour-long totally impromptu babble about my picks for some of the best song lyrics ever.

Let me bore you to sleep, haha.

I hope you don't mind the raw format - if my belly rumbles, or my voice catches in my throat or a car passes on the street, or if I stutter a word and swear to myself under my breath haha, because the audio was so long, I couldn't tidy it up like I usually would,  so every swallow and stumble... it'll be in there...😅🤣

THE SONGS:

Harmony Hall by Vampire Weekend

Eucalyptus by The National

Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd by Lana Del Rey

Jesus, Etc. by Wilco

Some of the lyrics I’m referring to from the songs are copied below, if you’re interested but find it hard to follow what I’m blabbering about…

And if you like this kind of thing, let me know and I'll do another next month!

Smooches,

🧔🏻💜Matthew xx

Harmony Hall

Vampire Weekend

Anger wants a voice

Voices wanna sing

Singers harmonize

'Til they can't hear anything

I thought that I was free

From all that questioning

But every time a problem ends

Another one begins

And the stone walls of Harmony Hall bear witness

Anybody with a worried mind can never forgive the sight

Of wicked snakes inside a place you thought was dignified

I don't wanna live like this

But I don't wanna die

Within the halls of power lies a nervous heart

That beats like a Young Pretender's

Beneath these velvet gloves I hide

The shameful crooked hands of a money lender

'Cause I still remember

Eucalyptus

The National

What about the glass dandelions?

What about the TV screen?

What about the undeveloped camera?

Maybe we should bury these

What about the last of the good ones?

What about the ceiling fans?

What if we moved back to New York?

What about the moon drop light?

You should take it

'Cause I'm not gonna take it

You should take it

I'm only gonna break it

What about the rainbow eucalyptus?

What about the instruments?

What about the Cowboy Junkies?

What about the Afghan Whigs?

What about the Mountain Valley Spring?

What about the ornaments?

What if I reinvented again?

What about the moon drop light?

You should take it

If I miss it, I'll visit

You should take it

I don't want it, it wouldn't be fair

It'd be so alone without you there

Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd

Lana Del Rey

Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Boulevard?

Mosaic ceilings, painted tiles on the wall

I can't help but feel somewhat like my body marred my soul

Handmade beauty sealed up by two man-made walls

When's it gonna be my turn?

Open me up, tell me you like it

Fuck me to death, love me until I love myself

There's a tunnel under Ocean Boulevard

There's a girl who sings "Hotel California"

Not because she loves the notes or sounds that sound like Florida

It's because she's in a world preserved, only a few have found the door

It's like Camarillo, only silver mirrors running down the corridor

When's it gonna be my turn?

Don't forget me

Open me up, tell me you like me

Fuck me to death, love me until I love myself

There's a tunnel under Ocean Boulevard

Jesus, Etc.

Wilco

Jesus, don't cry

You can rely on me, honey

You can combine anything you want

I'll be around

You were right about the stars

Each one is a setting sun

Tall buildings shake

Voices escape singing sad, sad songs

Tuned to chords, strung down your cheeks

Bitter melodies turning your orbit around

Our love

Our love

Our love is all we have

Our love

Our love is all of God's money

Everyone is a burning sun

😂 39 from here on, Eliza! 😋 That's a sweet idea, Evi!

Hahah no! The lady knows what she wants https://tenor.com/be05o.gif

Oh excuuuse me. 😜 That's way better! 🥂

Aw I'm glad you noticed that, yes! I had to! Btw did you get some bday cake??

One more thing! Since Lana was discussed in this audio I wanted to show you this, Matt - well, and everyone else. 😋💚 https://ibb.co/KGjvRSP https://ibb.co/GCnm33N

Heyy. So I wanted to talk about many songs but right now there is one that's sticking out to me. It's from one of my favorite albums - 'Yes I Am' by Melissa Etheridge. Now, as a big fan of her work it pains me a bit to discuss a hit song and not a deep cut but here we are haha. 'Come to My Window' like most of her songs, has deeper emotional meaning. For example, 'You Can Sleep While I Drive' is a song that people generally think is sweet and about two lovers going off together - one sleeping while the other drives. It is not, it's about losing/leaving a significant other - you sleep while I drive away. But I digress! She wrote CtMW while on tour and missing her partner. They were going through a rough patch and the basic idea of the song is longing for a person but also longing for the relationship to work. "I would dial the numbers Just to listen to your breath And I would stand inside my hell And hold the hand of death You don't know how far I'd go To ease this precious ache And you don't know how much I'd give Or how much I can take Just to reach you Just to reach you Oh, to reach you" Somehow the "just to reach you" line gets me most. M.E. has explained the song many times (more eloquently and in-depth in her autobiography but I don't have that with me right now!) and the experience that spurred her to write it. Melissa had her partner on the phone and was asking her to wait for her to come home from tour so they could work it out. Since it was a particularly tumultuous time for them, she says in one interview: "the chorus was used as a metaphor meaning “you can’t come through the front door” - “I was telling her that we can’t meet and talk in an adult fashion” - “We have to meet on the side and talk". "Come to my window Crawl inside Wait by the light of the moon Come to my window I'll be home soon" These are probably my favorite lines of the song and how she delivers them: "Keeping my eyes open I cannot afford to sleep Giving away promises I know that I can't keep Nothing fills the blackness That has seeped into my chest I need you in my blood I am forsaking all the rest" Then we have the culmination of the song which, you just have to hear imo... "I don't care what they think I don't care what they say What do they know About this love anyway?" So yeah, thanks for reading if you did. I could talk about her lyrics all day so... 😋🖤

Ariel

I’ve loved reading everyone’s comments! I haven’t had a chance to listen to the songs I don’t know quite yet, but reading tidbits of the lyrics has been so fun. I can’t wait to deep dive 💗 Speaking of, nobody hate me, but I've gotta take the opportunity to share some of my favorite lyrics… (Taylor’s Version). I know I’ve repeatedly mentioned how much Taylor and her music means to me, but I promise I’ve been singing her praises for 15 years (dear god) for good reason lmao. First, she’s a storyteller at heart; she's very particular with imagery. Second, there's a certain way she conveys emotion that's intriguing to me; it sometimes feels like time slows when you listen to certain songs. Last, I appreciate the way she executes detailing miniscule/mundane moments versus the way she identifies someone's idiosyncrasies; she puts an emphasis on both in really special ways. Below, I've listed some lines that I find impressive and/or represent what I meant above. (Though, I can very much provide the lore/context if anyone's curious lmao). With that being saidddd, here’s some of Taylor’s coolest lyrics (Aleigh’s Version). 🎶🎸 “You come away with a great little story Of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you” – Cold As You (album: Taylor Swift 🪕👗) "Then I think about summer, all the beautiful times I watched you laughin' from the passenger's side And realized I loved you in the fall And then the cold came, the dark days When fear crept into my mind You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye" – Back to December (album: Speak Now 💟✨) “We are alone with ur changing minds We fall in love til it hurts, or bleeds, or fades in time” ... “So you were never a saint and I loved in shades of wrong We learn to live with the pain, mosaic broken hearts” – State of Grace (album: red taylor’s version 🌹💔) “My mind turns your life into folklore I can’t dare to dream about you anymore” – gold rush (album: folklore🧚🏼‍♂️📖) “Maybe I was naive, got lost in your eyes And never really had a chance My mistake, I didn't know to be in love You had to fight to have the upper hand” – White Horse (album: fearless taylor’s version🫶🏽☀️) “All we are is skin and bone trained to get along Forever going with the flow, but you’re friction” – Treacherous (album: red taylor’s version 🌹💔) “Time turns flames to embers, you’ll have new Septembers” – Innocent (album: Speak Now 💟✨) (TW // ED) “From sprinkler splashes to fireplace ashes, I gave my blood, sweat, and tears for this I hosted parties and starved my body like I’d be saved by a perfect kiss” – You’re On Your Own Kid (album: Midnights 🕰️💎) “Now you hang from my lips like the gardens of babylon With your boots beneath my bed, forever is the sweetest con” – cowboy like me (album: evermore 🌿🌳) “Ridin' in a getaway car There were sirens in the beat of your heart” – Getaway Car (album: reputation 📰🐍🖤) “You drew stars around my scars but now I’m bleeding” ... “I knew you tried to change the ending, Peter losing Wendy I knew you leavin’ like a father, runnin’ like water” ... ‘Chasin’ shadows in the grocery line, I knew you’d miss me once the thrill expired” – cardigan (album: folklore🧚🏼‍♂️📖) “Killing me slow, out the window I'm always waiting for you to be waiting below Devils roll the dice, angels roll their eyes What doesn't kill me makes me want you more” – Cruel Summer (album: lover 💘🏹) “Pulled the car off the road to the lookout Could’ve followed my fears all the way down” – this is me trying (album: folklore🧚🏼‍♂️📖) “The rest of the world was black and white, but we were in screaming color” – Out of the Woods (album: 1989 🪩🩵) “I can’t stop you putting roots in my dreamland My house of stone, your ivy grows And now I’m covered in you” – ivy (album: evermore 🌿🌳) p.s.: Ahhh! Her discography is expansive -- there are manyyy I didn't get to include. I mean, I’m working with 10 albums and 2 re-recordings (plus the vault tracks) here lmao. On top of that, I couldn't cherry pick lyrics from certain songs that I thought deserved a full listen for context purposes. (Examples: Dear John, Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve, right where you left me, All Too Well 10 Minute Version, etc.). pee pee ess: If anyone has a few minutes and can enter this eras ticket contest, I’d appreciate it so, sooo much. The steps to enter are in the caption. Contest closes on May 10. I'm trying to ask as many friends as possible to sign up, cause I think contests are the only way I’m gonna be able to make it to this tour sadly. Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read all this and thanks for entering if any of you do. (link: https://www.instagram.com/p/Crvu3Wfp-oV/) ✨💞

aleigh -`♡´-

Ahhhhh, Kiwi - I loveeee your picks! 💟 Whether I knew the songs/artists before listening or not, I knew I’d have a great time and knew I’d most likely co-sign on all your takes. I hadn’t heard Jesus Etc. and I don’t really listen to Vampire Weekend, but I loved hearing both of them. I paused the audio to give Harmony Hall a listen before we got into it and there was so much I missed on first listen, which made it super special to hear you dissect. They did a great job at encapsulating the ever-presence of anti-semitism in our institutions. It’s a cancer that my country especially does an embarrassing job at tackling (*if* it’s even addressed at all). Speaking of, does anyone know how Columbia handled the swastika situation? Though I’m sure it was acknowledged, I don’t have faith in the university taking aggressive action or giving substantial consequences, given that they (universities) prioritize optics over everything else. I just think the performative activism completely sidelines material justice for marginalized communities and subsequently minimizes the impact of the hate crimes. I guess it depends on how you look at it, but as a black woman, I really sympathize with how Ezra must’ve felt. I just hate to see this systemic violence and ineffable pain continue. (Sidenote: I realize this incident was almost 20 years ago, but America has an affinity for sympathizing with bad actors. Who knew vehemently rejecting/denouncing racism and bigotry is so difficult for some?🙄) As for Jesus, Etc., I'm so glad the consensus was that it’s just a bunch of bullshit. I listened to it before I heard you speak to it and I quite literally had a big red question mark in my head. I was bopping along without a lick of understanding – no thoughts, just vibes. 🤣 Shoutout to Wilco for putting a bunch of words in a hat and constructing the lyrics at random. I was so excited to see The National and (of course) our girl Lana on here! I love them both, but I unfortunately haven’t gotten a chance to listen to the entirety of both of their albums yet! If you have any recommendations for where I start, or even just want to let me know your faves, I’d greatly appreciate 💜. Also, based on how you interpreted Lana, the one thought I had in my mind was that maybe tunnels are to Lana as towers are to you, and I think that’s sweet. 💌 Ahhh, I loved hearing you speak about how those research tendencies come into play when you consume music lmao. It took ages for me to put this response together because of the same exact reason. I think it's fair to say that the history/context to any listening experience is significant, but for me it’s quite literally mandatory. I have an unquenchable thirst for knowing, quite literally, everything about everything. Since I can never do my fact-find in a chill way, I naturally send myself down a research rabbit-hole, which is simultaneously hilarious and insufferable. 🤣 Anyways, I'll end this by saying that I absolutely neeeed a part 2. I think I’ll actually keel over if we don’t do this again. This is just [chef’s kiss][chef’s kiss][chef’s kiss]. I want to kiss your brain, kiwi 💜

aleigh -`♡´-

i loved every minute of this. 💜 i’m about to post a long as hell comment in response, but here’s a typical aleigh one-liner for good measure: one thing about me, i’m a slut for a good lyric!

Mattthew, thank you for the long lovely lyrical ramble 🤓 it was perfect for today. I’ve had a two day migraine and this morning I tried to go to work but they sent me home because apparently small children might be frightened of the zombie version of their Ed tech. So I’ve been watching birds and letting you whisper song lyric analyses in my ear. It seems to calm the pain areas of my brain but activate and satisfy the nerd-girl areas. I paused to listen to each song and the Lana Tunnel song made me cry which made my head pound again but also oddly made my heart feel better. And now I’ve got to take a break from the screen but I wanted to let you know how wonderful it was to float about for a while on your thoughts. Would you ever consider releasing week by week a recording of you reading a chapter of a favorite non-fiction book? It would be so much fun to look forward to that. And also your rambles. And also your own writing. And..well… what about a recording every night of the week?🎉🤣🤗

Music that invokes ✨the feels✨ (I'll do content warning for individual songs where needed) 1️⃣ Car Radio - Twenty One Pilots (TW: Depression) This is one of those songs that expresses a very specific experience and the first time I listened to this song I basically went "holy shit they put it in words"! The song perfectly describes that urge to do anything possible to drown out that voice in your head, and how without a car radio to mask those thoughts, "I'm forced to deal with what I feel, there is no distraction to mask what is real". I like being busy, I like having music playing for when my brain is otherwise unoccupied, because otherwise that awful depressing voice takes over and is deafening. The use of a car radio is a perfect example because without it, I'm driving while my depressive thoughts win, and that's a horrible, dangerous situation to be in. I know the band is quite popular for their music about mental illness but I highly recommend giving this one a listen or even just looking up the lyrics. It hits the nail on the head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_Jp2mlzEjw 2️⃣ Konstantine - Something Corporate 9 minutes and 36 seconds of absolute BANGER! Ok my obsession for this song aside, this is such a beautifully sad song, I won't say any more except this: you NEED to listen to this song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkUJkKtF_LE 3️⃣ Praying - Ke$ha (TW: assault/ab*se) I actually can't listen to this song without bursting into tears so this will be short because I want to cry thinking about it. Her song to her ab*ser, and the lyrics that choke me up: "you brought the flames and you put me through hell, I had to learn how to fight for myself". Ok I'm crying, next one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78kjMk4Og08 4️⃣ Face Down - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (TW: Ab*se) This song puts it plain and simple, "every action in this world will bear a consequence". A song about a guy watching a woman he loves getting hurt by another man. If I had a dollar for every time I've screamed the "I've finally had enough" in this song... Well basically 💰💰💰 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8vHCKQLy5Y 5️⃣ Samurai Swords (Acoustic version) - Highasakite Another tragically beautiful song, from the lyrics to the piano accompaniment. The lyrics are simple but string together so much meaning "I'm not flawless, I'm not cautious, I am blazing out the houses, I am poison, I'm not loving" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R1QB0m91RY 6️⃣ Everything's An Illusion - Mayday Parade (TW: death) Ooft back to crying. I've never looked into who this song is about because honestly it's a brutally painful song. I won't put lyrics here because I'd have to write out the whole song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJ4hCWwOCAI 7️⃣ Swim - Jack's Mannequin From memory this song is about his battle with cancer but I think it speaks really well about any huge life-changing struggle that people face. It's just a powerful song about coping. "Swim for your families, your lovers, your sisters and brothers and friends" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slyEQsxcEQg 8️⃣ Remember - Seinabo Sey, Jacob Banks Ugh this song's instrumentation and chords m*rder me every time, hits me right in the soul. This isn't a song, it's an experience, go listen! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl9rFir6v8I Instrumental Mentions 9️⃣ Arabesque No. 1 - Claude Debussy Just a beautiful song. That is all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Fle2CP8gR0 🔟 River Flows in You - Yiruma He went so hard when writing this song. You can feel the journey it takes you on without being too dramatic about it (Big FU to The Script for plagiarising it) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7maJOI3QMu0 Special Mentions 1️⃣1️⃣ 4'33 - John Cage He really said "man fuck the system" 🤣 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWVUp12XPpU 1️⃣2️⃣ Built This Pool - Blink 182 Best lyrics ever written 🤣 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK6r3I0rfos Ok I'll stfu now byeee

Marita Kosmo

Uhhhh take this as my review but I'm just going to dump my thoughts here as a relisten 🤷‍♀️ Note that the only song I've actually listened to here is LDR. • On the "wicked snakes" - I did a lot of history at school and am somewhat of a history nerd. I always saw those symbols drawn as graffiti almost everywhere (back of bathroom doors, tunnels, bus stops) and I think for a while I naively just assumed it was people trying to be "edgy". But seeing the state of the world now, it's a harsh reality that those views never really went away. The state of Victoria in Aus is currently passing laws to make N*zi symbols and gestures illegal (I can't believe that actually needs to be said), yet a group of people recently saluted on the steps of state parliament. It's almost dystopian to see these things occurring in this day and age • "what if the angry voices do get a platform" and thats why education around the internet is so important. Because, coming back full circle to your comment about echo-chambers, the internet is just a bunch of people yelling, and that confirmation bias is strong. I grew up learning on-the-go as technology advanced (started school with blackboards and finished with everyone owning a mobile phone and laptop). But I think the danger is for people who don't know how to navigate this new social world, who can't pick the real from the fake online, that get sucked into these echochambers. And I think thats why the current state of the world is so polarised, because we nobody taught us how to differentiate what we see online. • "Eucalyptus" 🐨 entered the chat • "I'm only gonna break it" me violently destroying everything from my ex as soon as I got away from him 🤣 • "get some cathartic tears out" excuse me because I want to hug you after hearing you say that 🥺 • Hotel California being about "loss of innocence" wait wait wait I thought the song was a giant metaphor for hell? Am I wrong? Please correct me (I am not so good at the interpretationy thing) • ok but I immediately resonated with this song when I heard it but it took a few listens to reaallllly work out why. It was the "when's it gonna be my turn?" that hit me. Because it's the question I've asked myself for years, in all sorts of situations. I feel like I'm always waiting for my 'golden era' I guess. But also that 'when's it gonna be my turn to get that kind of love, for someone to find that hidden gem somewhere inside me'. 'Love me until I love myself' because nobody has ever shown me that I'm worth that kind of love. I know thats a super depressing take but I guess thats my reality. And this song perfectly sums that up for me. • "eucalyptus" again? 🐨 • Ah yes I need someone who can love me for my absolute inability to do words good 🤣 Yes I would totally love a part 2 of this or literally just you talking about anything 😍 I'll plop some songs in the comments tomorrow 💜

Also the Merchant of Venice reference absolutely sent me and unlocked a memory lol. We did that in Year 9 (age 14/15) and my suuuuuper conservative English teacher wouldn't let us watch the movie like all the other classes because they showed... Um... *Whispers* breasts 😱 She was horrified but me and the girl I sat next to just looked down our own shirts and were like "I don't see the problem". I've never seen a teacher so flustered in my life 🤣🤣

Kateastrophy

Side note: is that song the inspiration behind your latest IG poem? 🎵Mosaic ceilings, painted tiles on the walls🎵

Emily Dawn

I’d never heard Jesus, Etc., but these lyrics reminded me of that incredible photo from a few years back showing thousands of galaxies from the Hubble Ultra Deep Field scattered in space like confetti: https://ibb.co/cYdD5Fm. 🌌 “You were right about the stars Each one is a setting sun” I started thinking about the exponential number of planets that must be out there orbiting all of the stars in all of the galaxies. All of the planets with all of their different orbits- their stars setting and rising all the time. It also got me thinking about the concept of sonder ( https://ibb.co/5RrbN97 )- the sudden realization that everyone has a story and we all have a place here- every planet has a setting sun, so to speak. It also reminded me of a quote from Elie Wiesel that goes “we must see in every person a universe with its own secrets”. Looking at the Hubble photo and thinking about those lyrics and that quote gave me vertigo. 😵‍💫 When you were talking about Did you Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard you described it as “a song that uses a place to explain the emotion or real meaning of the song”. I wonder if the Wilco song was meant to be understood in the same way? “Tall buildings shake Voices escape singing sad, sad songs Tuned to chords, strung down your cheeks Bitter melodies turning your orbit around” A planet changing its orbit would be catastrophic for anyone on its surface. Emotional upheaval can feel like our world is ending.

Me while reading the description: *gulp* Is this going to be a falling/music-geeking in love simulation? 😳 Also, is there a tag for the music lover ones? Bc that would be useful. I'm always impressed with the encyclopedic knowledge and recall some of the Belles have. I, however, have a kind of goldfish memory 😅

Me laughing at the university comments of student vs staff views. Idk about across the ditch, but over here students are VERY aware of how absolutely shit the system is, how money-hungry the sector is, how unsafe campuses are, and the general attitude is "just give me my $20k piece of paper so I can gtfo and get a job" 🤣 My first uni WAS one of the best psych programs in the country when I started in 2017. In 2019 they cut most of the Arts department (the uni offers a bit of everything but has had a LOT of successful people graduate in the Arts there). What they didn't realise was that accidentally cut half the psych courses and nobody wanted to go there anymore. So staff and students complained. They reinstated the psych units but didn't reemploy any staff and cut pay of those that protested. A week later on the news the Dean was talking about how he gave himself a multi-million dollar bonus for running such a smooth system and successful university 🤦‍♀️ fuck that guy 🤣

Me: smiling stupidly in the dark listening to Matt’s audio. 🙂

Elmyra Forest

It's been a looong one. We'll see how far I get. ....Whoa. 13 minutes in and I'm wide awake because I find the thought process fascinating. The velvet glove bit I think may be related to the idiom/definition...superficial gentleness and courtesy masking a strong and unyielding will or determination. With that, in going to have to switch gears because intellectually this is drawing me in! 🤣 I need sleep. 😘💜🤗

I’ve always loved The Whole of the Moon by the Waterboys and thought it was beautifully written. Same with the entirety of Infinity on High by Fall Out Boy (yes please excuse me outing myself as a big emo 😅), but Hum Hallelujah in particular just hits hard for me.

I always love the raw babbles, bloopers, natural stuff as if it’s just a normal conversation. 😌 Might listen on a walk a little later. ❤️

If i could take your mind out on a date i would. 🥰☺️this is going to be wonderful for tonight. Although i doubt you'll bore me to sleep. This lyric "babble" sounds more food for thought than a remedy for insomnia. 🙂

i'm genuinely so, sooo excited to listen to this! as someone who spends a significant portion of their time consuming music and using it to cope, this is a dream. also, it’s been one of those days where things have been hurting a bit more than usual, so this audio couldn’t have been timed better. thank you thank you thank yooouu for this. if y’all need me, i’ll be happily nerding out 🫡💘

Love these songs! The Lana Del Rey one has always reminded me of you from you mentioning in the past how much you like her music. And this is really funny, literally yesterday I was listening to music and heard one of the songs you did in your first guitar ramble. I totally forgot what it's called now because I was driving and forgot to save it but I had never heard it before and I almost ran off the road yelling, "that's the song Matthew did!" Can't wait to listen to this, will wait until I am going to bed. Maybe I will even dream about you 💋💜

Lavender Belle (Jenn)

Thank you thank you! I’ll put this on when I’m ready for bed. This is so wonderful.

Oh sweet Matt, you know what my heart needs so much better than I do sometimes. I don’t know how much of my personal life to divulge here but I might have to make a pretty heartbreaking decision about someone close to me and it’s causing a lot of internal conflict and sleepless nights. Very much looking forward to hearing your uncut rambling and what goes on in that big beautiful brain of yours. Snugs and hugs, as always 💜💜💜

we're talking lyrics AND some of my favorite artists? holy fuck, i think i just reached paradise
