Does anyone know the state of the Golden Horde during this time period as well as their relationship to Theodoro, and thus their reaction to Constantine's rise?

While Constantine did say the Duke is now bound by Iron , blood and faith , his personal reaction to such clear decline of marriage without notice might not be good. While I suppose The Knight would like to make some contact with Constantine as they can profit from alligning with him
