My company has approved my vacation for July and I will be going on a trip with my family for a few days. The dates have yet to be confirmed.

This obviously means that I will not be able to work on My Dorm during those days, so I will stop the payment cycle. That may lead to some questions:

What does this mean? For example, if you renewed your subscription on June 15th, you will not have to do it again until August 15th. The July 15 subscription renewal is on my account and will be renewed automatically.

How does this affect my annual subscription? If your annual subscription was ending on October 20, once paused it will be extended by one month automatically, so it will end on November 20.

If I am not a subscriber, can I sign up while the payment cycle is paused? Yes, but then Patreon will charge you. I have no power to change that. If I pause on the 1st and you subscribe on the 3rd, you will pay on July 3rd and again on August 3rd. If you subscribe on June 30, the July 30 renewal is on me and you will pay again on August 30. I know it's unfair, but there's nothing I can do.

Are you going to be on vacation for the whole month, Trope? No, I'm old and will need a few days to rest from my vacation at the end of the trip before returning to work. I will be working on My Dorm for those days, but not exclusively. I want to take advantage of those free and unstressful days when there is no deadline for the next update to learn new things so I can offer a better My Dorm. Photoshop, get ready! My wife also wants me to spend more time with her since after the vacations I will be abandoning her again to spend a lot of time with the Dorm girls. How selfish she is! Just kidding, without her support and understanding with the many hours I spend doing this, My Dorm would not be possible.

Why do you do this when most developers don't? Because it's only fair. If I don't give you the product you subscribed for, it would seem unfair to charge you for it.

Why are you warning us in April about something that is going to happen in July? Because this way I don't forget about it when the day comes. I got the email confirming that my vacation was approved last night, so the best thing to do is to let you know as soon as possible so you know that in July you will have a little extra money. I will edit the post when I have specific dates.
