Episode 232: Durham Deactivated
Added 2023-05-22 21:46:50 +0000 UTCThe second to last Q drop of 2020 consisted of just one word: “Durham.” This referred to Special Counsel John Durham, who was tasked with investigating the origins of Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI investigation into possible Trump Russia links. After three and a half years, the investigation ended with just one guilty plea from an ex FBI lawyer and a report that scolds the FBI’s actions. Today, we’re going to take a look at some of the contents of that report and how the QAnon community is reacting. We’ll also speculate if this means we can move on from Trump’s election, or if we are all doomed to live in 2016 forever.

2023-05-27 13:06:05 +0000 UTC"He's some general" reminds me of the children's book "Charlotte's Web" with "some pig" written in the spider web. "He's some general, some man, some pig"...it works

And Greenwald seeing how friendly he can be appearing on right-wing outlets since he doesn't get invited elsewhere. RIP David Miranda (1985 - May 9, 2023), Glenn's husband.

2023-05-24 20:41:23 +0000 UTCIt's pretty damning how most of what you cite as "Trump-Russia collusion" is Russian interference that didn't involve Trump. Trump does not look like he was an asset, no matter how much you #resistance liberals want him to be. He was (and is) a fellow traveler, which is bad, but it's a very, VERY different sort of bad, and it's one that's a lot less politically expedient for you. We Democrats didn't lose in 2016 primarily (let alone exclusively) b/c of foreign fuckery. We lost b/c we collectively tripped over our own feet while trying to pat ourselves on the back and high-five ourselves simultaneously. You may have memory-holed establishment Democrat triumphalism in fall 2016, but some of us remember the gleeful anticipation of the GOP's imminent collapse as an organized party for the next generation, which was to be accompanied by all the "reasonable Republicans" (you know, the 50% of Trump voters who "weren't deplorable") coming over to the Democratic Party and being given the DFH's seats at the table. And that's still relevant, b/c you're still trying to tell us that most if not all the bad coming from the GOP is foreign interference, which implies that if we can cut that off we'll be able to work hand-in-hand with the "good Republicans". And that's just not true; we're seeing the culmination of decades of out-in-the-open, methodical work by the GOP to take over the gov't and make the Democratic Party irrelevant. People still espousing that our main problem is foreign interference at this point are at best useful idiots for the GOP, but it's getting increasingly hard to assume THEY are not fellow travelers...

2023-05-24 15:02:03 +0000 UTCSo what's the outcome you're waiting for that makes it so important for you to get worked up online and defend the honor of the Mueller Report? Trump isn't going down for this. Keep waiting for Godot. It's not gonna happen.

2023-05-24 15:01:30 +0000 UTCNo reason to stack the Audiance either. He's such an ignoramus. Other than watching a 77 year old have a temper tantrum surrounded by his Mean Girls laughing and applauding when he farted, it had no real purpose. Just more of the same 🤢

2023-05-24 08:43:44 +0000 UTCDid Trump and Putin get together in a garage with "collision Plan A" and sign it in blood? Probably not. Is there clear evidence of Russia using him as an asset? Absolutely. Are there cronies/ busines partners/lawyers with secrets and a reason to lie? C'mon. That's why it's played out this way. ....all the rest is a shell game.

2023-05-24 07:43:23 +0000 UTCSo. Much. Criming 😂 not only Trump, either. Maybe you aren't from the USA, so.. Russia/Trump collusion coming up: (based on Muellers well documented evidence from his investigation, there are: Expelled Russian spies (18?), Many Russian disinfo accounts found on Twitter/ FB, from 2016. Arrests at the NRA and it's initial shut down , Con Men, Maria Butina's honey trap (now back in Russia celebrated for her spying) money laundering,, Deutscha Bank, Trump Towers owned by Russian mobsters, Dark Money donations ties to Russia... man ...where DIDN'T they find evidence that Trump connects-the-dots with Russia bigly? Not only Russia, the Arab Emeritus, andTrump had offshore accounts in China. How'd you miss all this? 🙂

2023-05-24 06:58:01 +0000 UTCThe timeline is what it is. Steele's dossier was a media darling, but ultimately irrelevant. Russia interfered in 2016. Trump had sketchy Russian ties. Ya think its a good idea to rule out forigien fuckery, folks?? 😆 It's that simple. Durham's BS is the Long Con. They know most Americans have no clue whats in Mueller's report. Horowitz' (during Trump) did the SAME investigation, he concluded that the FBI acted appropriately and without bias. Trump was pissy about that so DOJ nursemaid-in-chief, Barr, hired Durham. Why the fuck not spend taxpayer money on MAGA propaganda? The bottom line is, after 2 exhaustive investigafions, Crossfire Hurricane stands up. Check out Wikipedia for details and timelines. They do a good summation. Best 😎🤘

2023-05-24 02:24:25 +0000 UTCThat's a very narrow and very careful defense of how Crossfire Hurricane was conducted. From the Durham report (p12): "As noted, it was not until mid-September that the Crossfire Hurricane investigators received several of the Steele Reports. Within days of their receipt, the unvetted and unverified Steele Reports were used to support probable cause in the FBI's FISA applications targeting Page, a U.S. citizen who, for a period of time, had been an advisor to Trump. As discussed later in the report, this was done at a time when the FBI knew that the same information Steele had provided to the FBI had also been fed to the media and others in Washington, D.C." - the investigation may have been started w/o the Steele dossier, but it used it in non-trivial (indeed, decisive) ways, and having the FBI do so was something the Clinton campaign was counting on doing.

2023-05-24 01:32:26 +0000 UTCYes. Which is why Crossfire Hurricane didn't use ANY oppo research when McCabe opened the investigation. It was opened BEFORE Steele's report and had nothing to do with Clinton.
C’mon
2023-05-24 00:48:34 +0000 UTCContext matters. A lot. Opo research is inherently biased so it does not form a good basis for law enforcement investigations. And in the context of this episode, Clinton's opo research *plan* was to direct that opo research to the FBI. The nefarious thing is *planning in advance to use federal law enforcement to win an election*. It would be one thing to find information and then send it to the FBI. Planning on doing so if and when a particular candidate wins the primary so you have the weakest possible opponent in the general is very much politicizing law enforcement to advance your campaign's interests.
Nona
2023-05-24 00:17:35 +0000 UTCPs if one thinks Opo research is only used as a negative...think of George Santos. Had Republicans done due diligence in that regard, he'd have never gotten out of the gate.

2023-05-23 23:29:31 +0000 UTCUm. News flash. Russia DID interfere in our election. Muellers report wasn't a guess, or up to interpretation. The evidence is THERE in the report. Why else would Trump (and Barr) bother to obstruct? Clinton simply warned Americans, so why does she gets defacto villain every time? She had nothing to do with Crossfire Hurricane. Why write? Geezuz guys, it was so inaccurate or slap dash one almost HAS to correct the record here. Smh.

2023-05-23 23:14:18 +0000 UTCEvery time San clemente is mentioned it's someone insane. I lived there for about 5 years. It's such an insane uptight area. I lived with one of the few liberals there, my great uncle. Also, Jackson hinkle is from there too. He lived down the street from me, but he was in high school for most of when I lived there so I never saw him. I probably saw his family though.

2023-05-23 22:34:04 +0000 UTCThere IS a context beyond "winning" and " losing" (or politics). It's Insane Lying vs Reality. Insane Lying = State sanctioned percecution (like LGBTQ+) an unfixable fucked up sewer world, planetary devastation and an early death for Gen Z. Reality = important tools for Humanoid survival. Because annihilation always SOUNDS fun...😶
