[WOTD] Siri redesign - Part 2: Presentation

Welcome to the second part of the redesign process for our dear Siri. In this post, I will introduce her new design and talk a bit about the plans I have for her in the WOTD remake.

As with the other girls, the goal of the new designs is to highlight and enhance each one’s most important characteristics. In Siri’s case, her simplicity is key, but she also has two sides. In her everyday life, in front of others, she is sweet, friendly, and innocent. However, in private, she is very affectionate, passionate, and willing to do anything. It's not that she pretends to be someone else; she’s just naturally like that.

Regarding her appearance, Siri has an angelic aura that reflects her (“false”) innocence and simplicity. While working on her redesign, I realized that Siri is truly a beautiful girl. By that, I mean she is universally beautiful; all the girls are, but Siri’s beauty stands out especially due to her light colors and celestial vibe. I kept that aspect in mind while defining her new appearance, and I want her beauty to be mentioned in some dialogues. For example, when Alune meets Siri, she could be struck by the color of her hair or eyes. Additionally, Siri could be considered the "princess" of the Academy or "the prettiest student," though she would be less popular than Asagi.

Here is a comparison between the new design and the old one.

As you can see, Siri now looks even more angelic and beautiful than before. I believe I managed to keep that innocent expression that defines her so well. I also lengthened her hair, gave it more style, and played a bit with the shades.

The original pupils, due to their color and design, might have made Siri seem blind. This was part of her original design and gave her a cute, unique touch, so I kept it in the redesign.

Other facial features contribute to her “glass doll” appearance, like her small mouth, a more defined and triangular jawline, and her eyelashes and eyebrows, which match perfectly with her light blue hair.

As for her physique, as I explained in part 1, Siri remains one of the shortest girls with small breasts. However, I’ve defined her body more due to her athletic nature. She doesn’t have Asagi’s musculature since Siri doesn’t train as rigorously or follow such a strict diet.
In fact, even though she’s the swim team captain, Siri isn’t a huge fan of competitive swimming; what she truly loves is diving and the peace she finds underwater.

I adjusted her shoulders and back since swimming strengthens those areas, though, as you know, Siri doesn’t over-exercise. I also refined her waist and legs to give her a more feminine and sexy figure.

In the original design, her ribs were somewhat visible, which I did on purpose to resemble mermaid scales. I decided to keep that detail in the new design, although I softened it so she doesn’t appear skeletal.

Her fingers are now slightly longer and thinner, and I decided to keep her nails short since Siri is a sporty girl, which is more appropriate.

The new sailor-style uniform suits Siri so well, and I've already customized it a bit, making it long-sleeved and adding a "heart lock" necklace with her initial (S) in the middle.
On the other hand, I've been wanting to implement the alternate uniform with her, which I haven't done yet. But the colors of this uniform suit her so well, making her even prettier.

In terms of her personality, she won’t change much in the remake, but her role in the story will become much more significant. An example that could inspire her evolution is Momo from To Love Ru, who becomes the mastermind behind the “harem plan” for the protagonist, Rito Yuuki.
Something similar might happen with Siri in the harem route: she will be one of the first to enter a romantic relationship with Clyde and could be the one to encourage him to pursue the other girls. She wouldn’t do this solely out of devotion to Clyde but also for her own benefit, as Siri will gradually become freer and could be the first to have a lesbian relationship with one of the other girls.

One of the new characters in the remake is Holly, Siri’s mother. I adjusted her hair color to resemble Siri’s more. As I mentioned in Holly’s introduction, she is a happily married woman but with an open relationship, and Siri is aware of this. In the story, there is a possibility of having a romance with both of them, reflecting that Siri inherited some of her mother’s promiscuity. Siri and Yuri will be the boldest girls with Clyde, shamelessly or unabashedly confessing what they feel for him.

Additionally, Siri has a special skill: her ability to hold her breath, making her a playful girl with certain “talents.” Sexually, she will be the most open, submissive, and liberal of them all.

But I also want Siri to have more emotional development in her relationship with Clyde. In the original story, she was the first girl with whom Clyde had an intimate relationship. In the remake, that will be optional, but Siri will still be one of the first to develop a romance. If you decide not to follow her route, the harem route will also be canceled, although I’m considering the possibility of including romantic threesomes.

Bienvenidos a la segunda parte del proceso de rediseño de nuestra querida Siri. En este post, voy a presentarles su nuevo diseño y hablar un poco sobre los planes que tengo para ella en el remake de WOTD.

Al igual que con las demás chicas, con los nuevos diseños busco resaltar y potenciar las características más importantes de cada una. En el caso de Siri, su sencillez es clave, pero también tiene dos facetas. En su vida cotidiana, frente a los demás, ella es tierna, amistosa e inocente. Sin embargo, en la intimidad, es muy cariñosa, apasionada y está dispuesta a todo. No es que finja ser alguien diferente, sino que simplemente es así.

Respecto a su apariencia, Siri tiene un aura angelical que refleja su inocencia ("falsa") y sencillez. Mientras trabajaba en su rediseño, me di cuenta de que Siri es una chica realmente bonita. Con eso me refiero a que es universalmente bonita; todas las chicas lo son, pero la belleza de Siri destaca especialmente por sus colores claros y su aire celestial. He tenido en cuenta ese aspecto para definir su nueva apariencia, y quiero que su belleza sea mencionada en algunos diálogos. Por ejemplo, cuando Alune conoce a Siri, podría quedar impactada por el color de su cabello o sus ojos. Además, Siri podría ser considerada la "princesa" de la Academia o "la alumna más bonita", aunque sería menos popular que Asagi.

¡Ha llegado el momento de presentar a la nueva Siri!

Rediseño de Siri

Aquí hay una comparación entre el nuevo diseño y el antiguo.

Como verán, Siri luce ahora más angelical y bonita que antes. Creo que logré conservar esa expresión de chica inocente que tanto la caracteriza. También he alargado su cabello, le di más estilo y jugué un poco con las tonalidades.

Las pupilas originales, debido a su color y diseño, podían hacer que Siri diera la impresión de ser ciega. Eso formaba parte de su diseño original, y le daba un toque bonito y único, así que lo mantuve en el rediseño.

Otros rasgos faciales contribuyen a su apariencia de "muñeca de cristal", como su boca pequeña, una quijada más definida y triangular, y sus pestañas y cejas, que combinan perfectamente con su cabello celeste.

En cuanto a su físico, como expliqué en el post parte 1, Siri sigue siendo una de las chicas más bajitas y con pechos pequeños. Sin embargo, he definido más su físico, debido a su naturaleza atlética. No tiene la musculatura de Asagi, ya que Siri no practica tanto deporte ni sigue una dieta tan estricta.
De hecho, aunque sea la capitana del club de natación, Siri no es una gran fan de la natación competitiva; lo que realmente le apasiona es el buceo y la paz que encuentra bajo el agua.

He ajustado sus hombros y espalda, ya que la natación fortalece esas áreas, aunque, como saben, Siri no se ejercita en exceso. También ajusté su cintura y piernas para darle una figura más femenina y sexy.

En el diseño original, se podían notar un poco sus costillas, lo cual hice a propósito para que parecieran escamas de sirena. Decidí conservar ese detalle en el nuevo diseño, aunque lo suavicé para que no se vea esquelética.

Los dedos de sus manos ahora son ligeramente más largos y finos, y decidí mantener sus uñas cortas, ya que Siri es una chica deportiva, lo cual es lo más adecuado.

El nuevo uniforme estilo marinero combina demasiado bien con Siri, y ya lo he personalizado un poco, haciéndolo de mangas largas y añadiendo un collar con diseño de "candado corazón" con su inicial (S) en medio.
Por otro lado, tenia ganas de implementar con ella el uniforme alternativo, el cual aun no hice. Pero es que los colores de este uniforme combinan muy bien con ella, haciéndola aun más bonita.

En cuanto a su personalidad, no cambiará mucho en el remake, pero su papel en la historia será mucho más relevante. Un ejemplo que podría inspirar su evolución es Momo, de To Love Ru, quien se convierte en el cerebro detrás del "plan harem" para el protagonista, Rito Yuuki.
Algo similar podría pasar con Siri en la ruta harem: será una de las primeras en entrar en una relación romántica con Clyde y podría ser quien lo anime a conquistar a las otras chicas. Esto no lo haría solo por devoción a Clyde, sino también por su propio beneficio, ya que Siri irá liberándose poco a poco y podría ser la primera en tener una relación lésbica con alguna de las otras chicas.

Uno de los nuevos personajes en el remake es Holly, la madre de Siri. Ajusté el color de su cabello para que se parezca más al de Siri. Como mencioné en la presentación de Holly, ella es una mujer felizmente casada, pero con una relación abierta, y Siri está al tanto de ello. En la historia, existirá la posibilidad de tener un romance con ambas, lo que refleja que Siri heredó algo de la promiscuidad de su madre. Siri y Yuri serán las chicas más atrevidas con Clyde, mostrándose sin vergüenza o escrúpulos al confesar lo que sienten por él.

Además, Siri tiene una habilidad especial: su capacidad para aguantar la respiración, lo que la convierte en una chica traviesa con ciertos "talentos". Sexualmente hablando, Siri será la chica más abierta, sumisa y liberal de todas.

Pero también quiero que Siri tenga un desarrollo emocional más profundo en su relación con Clyde. En la historia original, ella era la primera chica con la que Clyde tenía una relación íntima. En el remake, eso será opcional, pero Siri seguirá siendo una de las primeras en desarrollar un romance. Si decides no seguir su ruta, también se cancelará la ruta harem, aunque estoy considerando la posibilidad de incluir rutas de tríos románticos.
