[WOTD] Clyde redesign - Part 3: Outfits and wallpapers

This is the third part of the redesign of our handsome protagonist from Winds of the Destiny. In this post, I’ll be showing you the outfits I’ve created for him and sharing some wallpapers. I’ll also talk a bit about the changes to Clyde’s powers and abilities—something I forgot to mention in part 2.

To start, let’s take a look at some of the outfits Clyde will wear at work, specifically at Lionheart Academy. There are quite a few! I’ll show you all the variations I’ve made.

Personally, I really like the shirt + vest combination. I’m also a fan of diamond patterns on clothing.
Now that Clyde looks more handsome, mature, and strong, I think almost any outfit suits him well.

This will be his alternative hairstyle, which will appear in shower scenes or when Clyde wakes up in the morning.

These would be the casual outfits for our protagonist, along with the clothes he’ll wear during the yoga events that we’ve already played in the latest versions, which also have a comparison in part 2 of the post.

For his summer outfits, I made three alternatives. It’s hard for me to choose which one looks best, though I think the first option makes him look the most attractive.

As for Clyde’s powers, they will change a bit in the remake.
One of the first powers we learn about from our protagonist is a sort of calming aura that he passively possesses, which makes people around him feel comfortable. I tried to make it clear in various scenes and dialogues that this ability doesn’t have much influence on the main girls, as they fall in love with Clyde naturally or were already in love with him in the past. However, it seems that many players interpret this ability as manipulation, which breaks the essence of the game. So I’m going to remove this power, although it won’t have much impact on the development of the story and relationships with the girls, as, like I said before, the love always happened and will continue to happen naturally.

There are a couple of moments where Clyde is seen having premonitory dreams, and that will likely remain. His ability to regenerate wounds and his ability to communicate telepathically (although this last one might only be with Ceina) will also remain.

The big change that Clyde’s powers will undergo now is related to the Oniric Plane—his ability to enter this kind of dream world and interact with the other girls in that world or extraterrestrial plane.

I’ve also been thinking about adding a power that would be shown later in the story, and it would be similar to Naruto's Shadow Clone Jutsu. But I haven’t fully decided whether to include something like that or not. However, I would like Satanichia to have that multiplication power.

Oh, and here’s a little extra! I fall more in love with the new designs every day. ❤

As I mentioned in the previous post, the next redesign will be of the adorable Bonnie. But I have to anticipate that making the posts for her redesign will be challenging, so I’ll probably share more things on the Discord server in the Patreon channel.

Esta es la tercera parte del rediseño de nuestro guapo protagonista de Winds of the Destiny. En este post, voy a enseñarles los outfits que hice para él y compartir algunos wallpapers. También les hablaré un poco sobre los cambios en cuanto a los poderes y habilidades de Clyde, algo que olvidé comentar en el post parte 2.

Para empezar, vamos a ver algunos de los outfits que Clyde usará en su trabajo, es decir, en la Academia Lionheart. ¡Son bastantes! Aquí les mostraré todas las variantes que hice.

Personalmente, me gusta mucho la combinación de camisa + chaleco. Además, también me gustan los diseños con rombos en la ropa.
Ahora que Clyde se ve más guapo, adulto y fuerte, creo que casi cualquier outfit le queda bien.

Este será el estilo de cabello alternativo, que aparecerá en las escenas de duchas o cuando Clyde se despierte por la mañana.

Estos serían los outfits casuales para nuestro protagonista, junto con la ropa que usará en los eventos de yoga que pudimos ya jugar en las últimas versiones, y que también tienen una comparativa en el post parte 2.

Para sus outfits veraniegos, hice 3 alternativas. Es difícil para mí escoger cuál se ve mejor, aunque creo que la primera opción lo hace ver más atractivo.

En cuanto a los poderes de Clyde, estos cambiarán un poco en el remake.
Uno de los primeros poderes que conocemos de nuestro protagonista es una especie de aura tranquilizadora que tiene de manera pasiva, lo que hace que las personas a su alrededor se sientan confortables a su lado. Intenté dejar claro en distintas escenas y diálogos que dicha habilidad no es demasiado influyente en las chicas principales, ya que ellas se enamoran de Clyde de manera natural o ya estaban enamoradas de él en el pasado. Pero parece que muchos jugadores interpretan la habilidad como manipulación, lo cual rompe la esencia del juego. Así que voy a eliminar dicho poder, aunque eso no tendrá mucha incidencia en el desarrollo de la historia y las relaciones con las chicas, ya que, como dije antes, el enamoramiento siempre se dio y se dará de manera natural.

Hay un par de momentos donde se observa que Clyde tiene sueños premonitorios, y probablemente eso se mantenga así. También se mantendrá su capacidad de regeneración de heridas y su capacidad de comunicarse telepáticamente (aunque es probable que esto último sea solo con Ceina).

El gran cambio que tendrá ahora Clyde en cuanto a sus poderes está relacionado con el mundo onírico, con su capacidad para entrar en esa especie de mundo de los sueños y relacionarse con las demás chicas en dicho mundo o plano extraterrenal.

También he estado pensando en agregar un poder que se mostraría ya en la historia avanzada del juego, y que sería similar al jutsu de multiclones de sombra de Naruto. Pero aún no me he decidido del todo si incluir algo así o no. Sin embargo, me gustaría que Satanichia tenga dicho poder de multiplicación.

¡Oh, y aquí tienen un pequeño extra! Cada día me enamoro más de los nuevos diseños. ❤

Como dije en el post anterior, el próximo rediseño será el de la adorable Bonnie. Pero debo anticipar que será complicado hacer los posts de su rediseño, así que seguramente comparta más cosas en el servidor de Discord en el canal para Patreons.
