Reaction to Mamamoo | Where Are We Now Doc. Ep. 3

Comments

I totally agree that this documentary is very important to the girls; I honestly felt some tension between them in the "Where Are We Now" period. It was not like they didn't like each other or something, but they were trying to bear everything themselves. I did some digging and believed the trip in the documentary was made before the "3 Meals a Day" trip. Their interactions also look much more emotionally intimate after that. I am so happy to see them being so candid and finding a perfectly balanced way to be supportive of each other after all the struggles. It felt like they had been worrying about losing each other for everyone doing their own things, but now they don't have that worry anymore. When they say "Mamamoo will continue", they mean it, whether it is referring to the group or their relationship.

On top of Coachella, they also had the Queendom 1 prize comeback show that was postponed over and over until it was eventually a virtual-only event, which must have been such a let down.

this made me cry 😭

The Coachella gig was the peak of their career since HIP was top, and each of their solo was a success at the time but Covid hit and evrything just stopped. Thats why, Where are we now (WAW) was really heartbreaking. I felt like it was goodbye since the 7 years contract was due and Wheein decided to leave but thankfully its not🫂But it did give me that feeling ngl (my own opinion). Glad you guys watched this, as a moomoo, you just gotta. Watching the WAW mv after this documentary, broke me (you should rewatch) 🫂🫰

I agree with your take, they respect their own individuality and most important they cheer and celebrate each other, mamamoo is a "home" where they can and will come back without problems bc the 4 of them cares and protect that home.

This is why Mamamoo has always been a "mature" WOMAN group, not just concept or talent-wise, but also in skill and character and how they handle themselves and others. They have that maturity that is always translated to their work.

Wheein right now in my opinion is in her best state mentally. Back then she had to deal with a lot of personal things and as she said in the documentary she would always not speak about them and would blame herself. One month ago, in her first concert in Seoul shared that we don't have to worry about her anymore and that she is very strong and happy now. She also said that Mamamoo will comeback but for right now all the 4 members are focused on their solo work. Her and Moonbyul are preparing for their world tour, Solar is finishing her musical and probably will release her album next month. Hwasa is preparing her full album too. As a moomoo myself i am very happy that they are doing what they want. Of course i would love a group comeback but their solo work makes me as excited as the group work and as you said that makes the group to last for a long time. Thank you for the reaction. Can't wait for the last one :)
