They not only survived one the biggest scandals, they thrived through a pandemic that destroyed a lot of groups. Hell, the the group in a smaller capacity continued doing variety shows together even after disbandment.(Cheating Trip, Animal Detective, Fearless Kura and HMLYCP) It's become so ingrained in K-pop that if you mention one IZ*ONE member you have to say "formerly of IZ*ONE"
