2023-12-11 12:57:03 +0000 UTCAt that time, Yunjin begging for a main vocal position from Nako received a very negative response from the audiences and is the main reason she tanked her chance of making it to the final line-up. Actually she was trending upwards before this episode aired but after this episode, she received a lot of criticisms for not accepting the result and put Nako (who was also loved by public at that time) in an uncomfortable position. They also thought Yunjin’s excuse of wanting main vocal because of her low ranking (22th) was a bad one since there were Erii (23th) and Chaewon (28th) who ranked even lower sitting there. It’s a right choice but it’s not a good look by Asian standard. Is it unfair for Yunjin for audiences to react that way? Probably. But the lesson in these Survival shows, too much ambition was seen as greedy and usually got shown in a negative light and got evil edited. So a big lesson learned for Yunjin and probably helped her grown as a person and become Yunjin we know now.

2023-12-11 07:53:16 +0000 UTCSo yeah, Gyuri’s redemption! That performance is honestly the #1 reason why Fromis_9 is one of my ult groups. I knew about them since Idol School but only kinda paid attention during comeback’s. After Gyuri showed up on PD48 it peaked my interest a little & then this happened! It is probably my favorite kpop related competition show performance ever followed closely by Oh My Girls cover of Destiny! Her back story on the show up to this point was kind of remarkable. From participating even after already debuting (I have a theory on that too) because she lacked confidence, to the missed note in Peek-a-boo (which Mnet of course had to show 1000 times), causing her to lose even more confidence, to redeeming herself here made me want to know more about her. And I’m so glad I did…best rabbit hole I ever went down! The confidence she gained during her time in Fromis after PD48 is crazy…and you can see it with each comeback! I watch her in various live stages, especially Rewind & Escape Room & it blows my mind that it’s the same person who tried to talk her way out of being the center for The Truth Untold performance ! I’ll forever be grateful to the others for not letting her quit. Great reaction as always. I love Sunday nights!
