Starting this project required a lot of time and energy, and reaching the point where the demo could be released took several major milestones and the feedback of very invested testers who helped tighten it up a lot.
It's still early, and there's a long way to go, but this is the right kind of start! I'm nothing if not ambitious and the plans for what Dark Temptations will become should reflect this. Continuing feedback from people who take an interest will help shape the direction of new content and make improvements to the look and feel.
For the next update, bugs that were found in the tech demo will be addressed, and there will be at least one new location to visit with new characters and another mechanic added for a simple inventory. This will pave the way toward many future developments in the structure of the week.
The new location is a coffee shop in the Business District with some interesting baristas working throughout the week. To make it worth visiting, there will be several interesting scenes depending on the day and time in the week, and you will be able to bring coffee to people at work in order to influence some interactions or learn some more about your coworkers when you do.
I'm just about done creating the art for Cuppa Joe's Coffee Shop in Morning, Afternoon and Evening variations, and a Night version that won't see use quite yet, along with in-scene customers and the paper dolls of the staff. There's a bit more to go hooking the location into the navigation system and then with the back half of the month I will script new scenes, render custom shots, and see if I can fit in some spicy stuff to go with it.
