I’m surprised the Korean trainees lack of Japanese skills. The show concept focused on a global group and AKB48 involvement. Japan is a one of the bigger markets for kpop too. Really impressive how the Japanese trainees did better picking up Korean while being thrust in a different trainee system.

2023-10-10 01:51:52 +0000 UTCThe Japanese girls sometimes had akb activities or other work in Japan so sometimes you’ll see that they’re not there, like how kkura wasn’t there when they announced the final grades. It also means sometimes they have less time to practice and take lessons, which I didn’t really realize the first time I watched it but I think it’s impressive

2023-10-09 14:47:12 +0000 UTCI watched this show when it originally came out, I only remember Sakura being hated because of editing, like MNET would overedit her struggle just for her to end up doing really well and a few other things in the future added to it, but overall she one of the girls everyone knew from the beginning that she would make it in the group it was just a question of what her final rank would be.
