Reaction to Sixteen Ep. 5 is now up!

Also, it's crazy how Chaeng was such a powerhouse and scary contestant on the Show, but when she got into TWICE and became Maknae, she suddenly had to be all cute and babie. x) I really like that she's getting back to that state again now, because her performances both here and in the 1v1 battle are really mindblowing.

I think the "teamups" for this challenge were lowkey brilliant. JYP wanted to see how they would do as a team, so he didn't put J-trin or Na,Ji,Jeong,Min on the same team. 1) He wanted to see how NaJeong could mix with Chaerry and Mina because - like he said - they have pretty different energy. Could they make it cohesive? 2) He teamed Jihyo - the most experienced - with Natty and Somi, arguably the least experienced just by being the youngest. It let's Jihyo show her Mom side while also listening to her younger members, and the other way, let's the younger members practice teamwork. 3) He teamed Chae with Momo and Jiwon - arguable the strongest team talent wise, but how well will they do Together? Will they just stand out on their own, or will they work together in synergy? and 4) He put Sana with Da, Min and Tzu, people who didn't really know eachother that well. How quickly and effectively can they build a team from the bottom up? The more times I watch this, the more I really appreciate the thought behind the challenges. And they really made good "drama" out of a lot of the contestants, like Natty V Momo, and Jiwon and Minyoung's battles agains their self-confidence.

I think what Jihyo mom said is kind of like out of context but I'm sure she had seen the episodes where people were getting on her daughter so badly for her weight and she just wanted people to know it was from stress suddenly and not that Jihyo had let herself go.

Based on this and Nizi Project JYP is hardest on those he sees the most potential out of and aren't living up to it. It almost seems better to have lowered expectations and then over perform.

I joined your patreon solely for SIXTEEN and using you guys as an excuse to rewatch this show lol. I really like your reactions, I think you're one of those few people who actually understand how gravely stressful this show has been for everyone in it. We share the same thoughts. Seeing Chaeyoung cry really made me lose my sanity. But I'm so excited for you to see the rest of the performances. At least performance wise, it's just going to get better from this point.

Momo's team was amazing, their performance was fire, they were all fierce. I loved Chaeyoung's rap and attitude, she was perfect for this concept that she chose. Also seeing her cry is a very rare sight and the fact that she was really happy that Jiwon got good feedback shows a lot about her genuine personality !

- Seeing Nayeon crying always hits me hard. - Wow seeing those J-Line clips now after the Misamo unit has been announced hits very differently. It's amazing looking back how far they would go together! - For first pair of performances, I agree with the audience. Liked Sana's team performance a bit better. - But for second pair, I agree with JYP. That performance is one of the most memorable ones in Sixteen. - Chaeyoung was amazing! So fierce and just showing how she's an ace. - Chaeyoung crying is also rare and hits hard. - Watching Sixteen this time, now that I started listening to fromis_9 songs, I appreciate Jiwon so much more. DM and Stay This Way are my favorites, and Jiwon's vocals in both tracks are so good.

so cute you guys talking facts with young momo!! i love every twice members interactions in sixteen it's so 😊 about MiSaMo they lived together when they were trainees, but now I don't know how they are divided, when they got 3 apartments it was Sana and Momo with Nayeon, Mina with Jihyo and Jeongyeon and SMC together, but now Jeongyeon lives alone (or with her sister idk) and Momo and Nayeon still live together, the rest of the division I have no idea anymore 😂

Seeing baby MiSaMo in Sixteen—young and nervous and hopeful and scared all at once—and then thinking about where they are now….. 😭🫶 Like, watching those Sixteen clips of them vs. the amount of confidence and poise and power they exude in the MiSaMo trailer is so crazy I love them sooooo muchhhhhhh
