The Parting scene with IU is really sad, both by his acting and IU's restrain acting trying to not show sadness and showing it still. We do have to recall that she had experience this form of parting numerous time.

If you'd be open to more of similar themed shows (extraordinary/crime solving/life story-experience of different people in diff episodes using supernatural help from protagonist with complicated background), I'd like to recommend watching The Uncanny Counter and Mystic Bar. :)

Please be mindful of over-generalization. Korean people's love and passion for food are not from deprivation.

It was only after WW2 and the Korean War that the United States supplied massive amounts of food to South Korea and ended that cycle, although it still continues in the North. Spam is still very popular in South Korea (as it is in England and for the same reasons), and there are many favorite dishes made with it, like Army Stew (Budae Jjigae). That's why prizes on variety shows are always food and snacks, and the mukbang is a thing. As for the story, you know from watching It's Ok Not To Be Ok that KDrama always reveal the story very slowly and back story is always crucial. They always show you the characters first and then they show you why they're like that. In other words, you aint seen nothing yet.
