Shrunken and Slurped Away

And wait she did.
It had been almost an hour by the time Ann gave up hope Makoto would be coming, deciding to just finish her drink and leave. Makoto on the other hand, had been much closer than originally thought.
The poor tiny girl had been trying and trying to get her attention for hours, nearly stepped on as the girl walked in, and upon climbing her hand she was almost instantly flung into the air, safely landing in the beverage with a splash.
Finding refuge on an ice cube, Makoto began to scream and yell, begging Ann to hear her from down below, but as more and more time passed it dawned on Makoto how fruitless her attempts were. Much to Makoto's dismay, as Ann began to slurp on her straw, the current of the liquid being sucked away caused the ice cube to tip over, not only plunging Makoto into the drink, but sending her so far down she'd have no hope of reaching the surface before she ran out of air.
And that was low enough that the straw's suckage got to her too. Being slurped up the straw with the rest of the drink, Makoto screamed as she was taken, trying to find any sort of grasp or hold she could as she was deposited into Ann's mouth, whisked away as the stream continued down her throat with a loud wet gulp, sealing Makoto's fate.
