Hidden Details: Pokémontage

Welcome to the one-hundredth-and-sixty-fifth episode of the Hidden Details blog!

Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".

Link to the comic for your convenience

Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There is one Loss, one Balthazar and one crewmate. Bonus comics don't count.

1:
The song that "plays" during the montage is a parody of the original Pokémon theme song, as pointed out by Zanreo!
2:
Brassius wants to make a Daisy statue, probably because he likes her name so much. You know, since he's a Grass-type Gym Leader.
3:
Luigi is still missing his hat. I don't think he'll ever get it back, Edgar Castro.
4:
Sudowoodo is completely torched in the second panel, which is possible because he Terrastalizes to Grass type in the battle with Brassius. Nicely found, The Negotiator.
5:
Crocalor mistakes the Grass Badge for food in the second panel and Floragato tries to stop him from eating it. Found by Cameron Devera.
6:
Luigi clearly doesn't like someone being interested in Daisy, as we can see in the second panel. I don't think he has anything to worry about though, I think Brassius is super gay with that one art teacher dude.
7:
Tulip is amused at the gang desperately trying to make Kazuya laugh for her Gym Trial.
8:
Incineroar is once again using Fire Spin (or Flamethrower) in the fourth panel, like he did in one of the first Paldea comics (and his official leaked art, back in the day).
9:
Quaxwell is clearly too cool and mature for something silly like sliding down snowy slopes, as we can see in the fourth panel.
10:
Rockruff is falling off Koraidon in the fourth panel, as mentioned by Daniel Myhre. I forgot to draw him initially, so I just added him in the back later, hehe.
11:
Among the crowd watching the rap battle in the fifth panel is a cheeky Greavard. You can see his candle underneath Ryme, which is what happy pasta did.
12:
You know what's also amongst the crowd? Something sussy. As pointed out by Kevin Rivas.
13:
Duck Hunt Dog is shushing Rockruff to make sure he doesn't ruin their little cheating scheme, as mentioned by Dempsey Garcia.
14:
If you look at Ryme's hair in the fifth panel, you've lost the hand game. Sorry, Generic Hero.
15:
Balthazar appears on Parappa's hat. He's green because the original frog on Parappa's hat is also green. Good eyes, Michael Ederer.
16:
I've once again replicated the actual game UI in the sixth panel!
17:
You can spot all the badges the gang has earned in the sixth panel as well. They're wearing them on their clothes.
18:
This week's loss has remained hidden! It's in Meowscarada's leaves in the seventh panel.
19:
Incineroar uses "Gloomle" to research his forbidden feelings, which is obviously a combination of Gloom and Google. Glad you noticed, Tolis.
20:
The famous "Gary was here, Ash is a loser!" graffiti appears in the final panel, only the names have been replaced with Penny and Arven. Glad you got that reference, Spirit of Gotham!
21:
Wow, I'm impressed you already know Miep, Trigger! She's indeed in the final panel, just above the graffiti.

The details that have not been found are marked italic.

Comments

This is the second time Incineroar used Gloomle regarding Floragato/Meowscarada

Kristen Shields

I'm going to assume all the silhouettes in panel 5 count as a single detail (excluding the one mentioned by Kevin Rivas). From left to right, we have Litwick, Crocalor, Incineroar, Floragato, Kazuya and Daisy.

Calvin Barbanell

Referencing pro strats in the story mode of a Pokémon game.

Jon Brouse

A green Balthazar is on Parappa's hat

Aglet Enthusiast

Rhyme is doing the ok hand with her hair

Ava Crago

GainingGamer

Is Crocalor trying to eat the gym badge a reference to Grandma Field’s comics, in which Fuecoco is an idiot who can’t stop biting/eating things?

Strengthening Weakener

Rockruff falling off Koraidon

Pokedude14

Incineroar is battling Cetitan even though he is supposed to be a trainer and not a Pokémon.

Tomerate

In the 5th battle, during the rap battle with Ryme, Duck Hunt Dog is shushing Rockruff to not let everyone know about Luigi's ruse.

Dempsey Garcia

Please tell me Sora is at the Electric gym right now

Shelby Kinkead

Crewmate in the fifth panel between toxtricity's legs

Kevin Rivas

The fact that no one has fully evolved except sprigatito means that they are woefully underleveled and the E4 are gonna cook them

A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends

I think the Loss this week is in the scaffolding of the stage behind Ryme in the fifth panel.

Brandon Digwood

The gym leader in the rap battle (I don't know names, only numbers, sorry) has her hair in a way to give us a 👌(but the meme one).

C2123

Is the badge that Crocolar is about to eat a glossy jpeg straight from the game?

Redmage77

There’s a Greavard in the background of panel 5 as it’s flame can be seen illuminated while everyone else is a silhouette back there.

happy pasta

Sudowoodo got burned by Crocalor.

The Negotiator

Fighting Master

Balthazar's on Parappa the Rapper's hat

In the panel where the guy's flirting with Daisy. He's imagining a statue of her in a pose similar to the Flores Pokemon

LadyValerie

Instead of google in the final panel incineroat is using gloomle

Tolis

Kazuya refusing to smile for Tulip’s gym test. Which is showing emotions in the actual game.

Deuce Ray

Luigi's hat is missing, since it fell off on the last comic

Edgar Castro

The montage song is a parody of the original Pokemon anime theme

Zanreo

The first Miep (Abel's cat) cameo in the last panel! In the wall where Incineroar is leaning

Trigger

Looked at Ryme's hair. Lost the game. Dammit.

Generic Hero

The final panel contains "Penny was here, Arven is a loser", referencing Gary's famous graffiti

Spirit of Gotham

Crocalor is about to eat Floragato’s badge which is NOT food on the 2nd panel. 😬
