Hidden Details: the Ultimate Brawl/Melee

There is ONE Loss, ONE Balthazar and ONE crewmate. Not counting obscure retro characters this time because there are many. Bonus panels don't count.

1: Yep, Professor Layton has a sword in the second panel. This is indeed a reference to his fencing skills, Phloxiana.
2: Melia (from Xenoblade) is visible as a silhouette in the second panel.
3: Phoenix Wright is objecting to something. Not sure how that will help, Jon Brouse.
4: He's also getting a wasp nest chucked at his head by Graham.
5: Rayman is punching Eggman all the way from one side of the battlefield to the other. Imagine how much fun he would have been in Smash, Nicholas Dalmacio.
6: The two lanky moustachio'd purple guys immediately start fighting in the third panel. I think they feel threatened by each other, Fighting Master.
7: Correct Zanreo, the LocoRoco and the Dragon Quest Slime don't want to fight, they just want to be friendos, as seen in the third panel.
8: Mario jumps on a Goomba in the third panel, since that's his speciality, Erick_Martinez__.
9: Spyro and Claude's wyvern are charging at the Ender Dragon in the third panel, so yes, it's dragon versus dragon, Palmer Hugh!
10: Kazuya and Piranha plant form a father-and-son team with Bowser and Bowser Jr. in the third panel. They do make a great team, Trigger.
11: Speaking of fathers and sons: Dracula and Alucard are locked in combat as well. They don't make such a great team unfortunately.
12: I'm assuming you mean gun, Angel Soto. But yeah, Donald is also having fun in the third panel. With his gun. This is a reference to that one meme where someone edited a gun into his hand.
13: Goofy is protecting Cuphead and Donald with this shield, so they can fire their guns unbothered.
14: The headcrab chose the wrong fighter to jump on, since R.O.B. is not an organic lifeform. Good catch, Calvin Barbanell!
15: There's a kamehameha beam visible in the background of the third panel, indicating Goku's presence.
16: A Moblin is grabbing the Bokoblin in the third panel, referencing Moblins using Bokoblins as weapons in Breath of the Wild.
17: To confuse possible invaders, Sephiroth's palace has very unhelpful signs that just say "???" both ways.
18: In the teddy bear shadow creature in the fourth panel, one can see a little crewmate along the skulls. Sharp eyes, law_guy!
19: Squirtle is Naruto-running in the fourth panel, referencing his Smash animations.
20: This week's loss is visible on the Elite's shoulder in the fifth panel, as spotted by Cameron Devera.
21: The poor Elite is probably assuming he's fighting Master Chief, but he's up against the Doom Slayer. Not that Master Chief wouldn't kick his ass either of course, UnSaxon51.
22: Ah, so the kick is from the boxart, Generic Hero? I didn't know, I just googled "Kiryu kick" and drew the one I saw first. But yes, Kiryu is using his signature kick to kick a Metroid in the fifth panel.
23: The two Rabbids previously seen on both armies are now having a slapping contest in the fifth panel, as pointed out by Percylegallois.
24: Doom Slayer and both Isabelles still have a special relationship it seems. He is now carrying two of them, Deuce Ray!
25: Dr. Neo Cortex is standing on Raiden from SNK in the fifth panel.
26: Sans is indeed speaking in lowercase Comic Sans, just like in Undertale, Daniel Myhre!
27: The little fox Shadow guy has a Stand arrow in the 6th panel. Can't remember what the guy is called. Anyway, good catch Steven Gardner!
28: In the same panel, Balthazar's butt is visible above Joker's head. You found him this week, luis alfredo gaona loredo!
29: The museum guard is once again conveniently censored. This time by her own hat floating by in the vortex.
30: Four Sephiroth Dickbutts are part of the fancy entrance to Sephiroth's Special Exhibition, as seen in the final panel and as pointed out by Shelby Kinkead.
31: Squirtle hid in his shell when the palace got distorted. You can still see him spinning around in the final panel.
32: And yes, the usual JoJo "To Be Continued" arrow makes another appearance, Josha Eddleston!
33: The title is a reference to three Smash games: Ultimate, Brawl and Melee. Only the description was a reference to the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, Spirit of Gotham.
