Wooden Update: Giveaways and Goals

Hey everyone! Time for a quick update on numerous things. We've been neglecting our Patreon-duties lately, but today I'm going to redeem ourselves. There's portraits to be made, Holiday Giveaways to organize and new Patrons to thank. Let me start with the last part first!

THANK YOU!

...to all current and new Patrons! In the past, this Patreon page hasn't exactly been a money-making machine, but we've noticed an increase in supporters lately, which is awesome! It feels like this thing could potentially grow into a platform we can use to communicate with our most dedicated fans and actually earn a (small) living! And for that, we once again want to thank you!! Which brings us to the next point:

$ 200 GOAL

We reached our very first Patreon goal! We (very responsibly) didn't assign any wild promises or rewards to this goal because we have a habit of biting off more than we can chew. But still, we're very humbled and we're looking into some kind of reward for our loyal Patrons. Maybe it'll involve streaming (which Christiaan is very into lately) or merchandise or something, we don't know yet. I'll keep you posted! For now, let me thank you YET AGAIN for helping us reach this goal! (Are you tired of the thanking yet?)

PATRON PORTRAITS

Is "avatar" a word for profile pictures you use online? I know I used "avatar" a lot back in the day when I was actively posting on internet forums, but maybe it's a Dutch thing. We called our monthly portrait giveaway "Avatar Giveaway", but suddenly I'm not sure if that makes sense to our friends overseas. Maybe I'll change it to Patron Portrait Giveaway. I like the alliteration.

Anyway, I'm horribly behind on Patron Portraits. Not because I forgot, but because Everyone is Celebrating took up all the time I had lately. I am four portraits behind right now. The first two are for Nola (October) and Richie (November), the third one (December) and the fourth one (January) I still have to pick. I'll do that as soon as I've posted this update, so keep an eye on your inboxes! Hopefully, I'll be able to complete one or two of these portraits today. I'll make sure we're back on track when February comes around! Apologies for the delay!

HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY

I also need to do another Holiday Giveaway, since Christmas/Hanukkah/New Year's came and went. Today, I'll post another update where you can leave a comment if you want to participate in the giveaway. The previous two posters I made are still lying here in the office, ready to be shipped to the lucky winners. Another case of slacking/procrastinating! I'll get on that as soon as I can, too!

I'll try to keep this Patreon updated better than I previously did. For example, I'll actually show you the portraits and posters I make for Patrons instead of keeping you in the dark! So prepare yourself for even more annoying Patreon mails than before! (You can turn off email notifications, I highly recommend it)
