October, 2nd vacation trip, Thailand
Added 2023-10-19 15:36:07 +0000 UTCI'd like to have a chat and share some updates. In my September report, I mentioned that I would be traveling for the entire month of October, right? So, in a few days, I'll be heading to Thailand, and I'll be there until the end of October. The trip to Japan was with friends, while the one to Thailand will be with family. It's quite a unique experience for me to visit two different countries within a single month. It's my post-pandemic travel liberation. I believe that after October, once I've had my fill of travel, I'll be able to return and focus on creating art.
Speaking of my recent trip to Japan, I visited the Kansai region, and when I was exploring a street in Osaka known for its anime merchandise, it was fascinating to see that downstairs there were regular anime products, but as you went upstairs, you'd find more explicit content and adult merchandise. I admire their openness over there. There were many delicious treats in Kuromon Market, and the scenery in Kyoto was absolutely beautiful. The weather in autumn was refreshing.
Before I went to Japan, I already loved Japanese cuisine and culture, and after this trip, I've grown to love it even more. I've even thought about whether there might be an opportunity to live there. The first step, of course, is to become proficient in the Japanese language. At the beginning of this year, I took an introductory Japanese course, but it was just a temporary effort, and I'm still not at a level where I can use Japanese in daily life. Currently, I'm slowly learning through Duolingo. I'm looking forward to having more time for focused learning next year.
Now, let's switch topics for a moment.
I've actually been contemplating for a while whether I should share these kinds of updates about my daily life. Because I can imagine some people thinking, "I don't want to hear about your daily life; we want to see your art!" It's a bit of a self-doubt habit I have, always thinking about what if someone doesn't like what I'm doing. This aspect also comes into play when I create adult content, especially when making explicit content. I often have inner conflicts, thinking, "Is this explicit enough? Will people not like it if it's like this? What if they think it's not good?" It leads to this cycle of self-doubt. I often have to remind myself to do things the way I like and continue drawing.
I might have gone a bit off-topic, so let's bring it back to the idea of sharing daily life updates. To be honest, this kind of sharing about daily life should probably be done on my "regular" art account. But because I've invested more effort into managing my Patreon under the name "destor," my "normal" account isn't as well-followed. So, I thought I'd give it a try here for now. I've always been inclined to keep my online presence quite secretive and not share much about myself. Perhaps it's time for a little change? In my real life, I've mostly been a homebody, and online, I've been quite secretive, and I feel like continuing this way would make life pretty dull. Before I thought about doing this on other platforms, I'll start here.

Nice experience. Oh, a week and half is same like my travel time in Japan as well. Just such short stay is enough to make us loved it, right? :D

2023-11-07 04:56:36 +0000 UTCI spent about a week and a half in Japan as part of a student study abroad program 9 years ago, and I LOVED it -- the people, the cuisine, the natural landscape, the technologically-advanced culture, all of it. I would go back in a heartbeat.

2023-10-22 23:49:34 +0000 UTCArt is about more than just pretty pictures. It's about connecting with another person through a medium of expression. Hearing about your life updates is nice, don't feel shy about it!
