Monthly Doodles - August 2024
Added 2024-08-31 23:36:42 +0000 UTCJuly and August were months of heavy cleaning and organization. I did burn out a little, though I've still been doing very rough sketches here and there.
Lately, I've felt dissatisfied with how I do faces, specifically shading them and getting the eyes to be something I want. I'm experimenting with different styles to find the shape I like.
You may have noticed I'm pushing my forced perspective to inhabit something akin to a fisheye. I've not been a fan of the curved perspective lines fisheye forces, but straightening them out to provide that feeling of closeness can cause distortion. So I'm learning how to push that distortion towards areas of a picture that I feel have less focus and impact.
