What qualities does Mitch’s mom have that Mitch seeks in other woman.

Ezraw thepaw

Dan, I know you want these guys to answer you, but I'm 40, childless by choice, and married. Just offering my experience in case it helps. It is ultimately what we want, and we enjoy it quite a lot. There are times it can feel lonely, or like we're left out, because you just don't get invited to things that your friends with kids do. It can take extra effort to hang out with them, but because we are able to be super flexible, we make it work. I love my quiet mornings, restful nights, the freedom to do what I want when I want. Insensitive people will tell you that you don't understand what real love is until you have kids. What those people don't know is how much I truly love all the positives I just listed, and more. The pets are great company for sure, and we're close with family who are probably disappointed we don't have children. We love big on the nieces and nephews and get to go to their plays, concerts, and games. All in all, it's great. I hope you find the same!

Hmm let me dig around in the hack sack for a question (I actually live near a town called Hackensack, home of the hacky sack*): what regional chain from your region (current or former) would you trade for a regional chain from another? For example I’d trade Perkins for Del Taco. #swappyboys *not remotely true

Philip Ehlke

what am i supposed to do? -thanks

brady maurer

I just got a new promotion that I feel incredibly under qualified for. Do you guys ever get imposter syndrome, and when you do how do you overcome it? Stress is hard sometimes.

PBR_hipster420

How do you pee pee when there is so much poo poo in the world?

Hey Nick, Mitch, Emma, and Yosong, my wife is due in early September (Mitch our first date was at Lynnwood) and I thought the Doughboys could help with a question related to both children and dining. What does the crew think the etiquette for parents with babies or young children? Should the whisk the baby away at the first sign of crying? How much weird staring from a toddler should be tolerated? This and any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated. -Thanks, Tom

Hi Doughboys, Emma, Yusong, Amelia, and kitties! I write patents at a law firm for a living. I could go to law school part time for four years to become an attorney and make almost double my current salary while doing basically the same work. But my wife and I have an almost two year old, and I hate the idea of being away from him to go to school. Although, I could make more $$ and set him and future kids up nicely for college/life/etc. What do you think I should do? Thanks! Love, Kevin. #burgerbrigade4life

Kevin

How do you guys deal with people that want to tell you about their grand vacation and you just don't give a single fuck? Love you all. I don't lift but I do at least 100 push-ups a day.

Adam Schubert

I’d like to know this too

Oscar Reyes

I’d like this answered too :)

I recently joined a gym with a pool and have started swimming for exercise. I know Wiger likes to swim, does he or anyone else have any tips? Do you have a workout plan you stick to, switch up stokes, or just swim until you can’t anymore? Thanks so much!

Sam Hudson

My employer subsidizes CostCo memberships for all employees. Minor perk, but weirdly nice! My wife and I don't have any kids yet, so a little hard to justify a CostCo membership since everything comes in bulk, but now that I have one through work, we go on occasion and love the hot dogs and pizzas.

Preston Fanta

My friend and I took her baby to a jewish deli and she loved cold cuts

Hi Doughboys and guests, should I invite the guy who I have been seeing for 2 months to my grandmother's funeral? My max lift is 80 lbs on the T bar row. STRONG BACK 4 LIFE. P.S. Please go back on Dumbbells soon! From Monica from Michigan

Best practices for keeping it real as fuck at all times? Max Lift is my secret identity and i'll thank you to not out me on that

Doug Justice

Also, I've never lifted but I once, as a husky child, lifted myself over a fence so that I could make it to the bathroom in time. I've always been proud of that.

Hey Amelia, Emma, Mitch, Nick and Yusong! So dick-fil-a, oops, I mean Chick-fil-A, is opening TWO new locations within half a mile of each other on a major surface street in my neighborhood. Besides looking forward to the construction and horrible drive thru traffic jams, one of those locations is within spitting distance of a Popeyes! I cannot describe the unexpected wave of anger and disrespect I felt for this Popeyes when hearing the news. do you have any personal experience with competition coming in town and screwing over a restaurant you liked? Or better yet, where the underdog restaurant prevailed?!

Jessie

Hey Mitch, Nick, Emma, Yusong, and Amelia! I am 26 years old and am working a 9-5 Job to fund my college courses. I currently have no safety net, a bit of debt, and in the past year been dealing with serious depression and anxiety. Some of you may know me as the 'run guy' on the doughscord. These days I count it as a win if I make it outside at all. Some days I don't even make it out of bed. My question is this: I am at a point in my life where I'm getting older and I feel like I am running out of time to make myself into something. Have any of you ever felt this way? How did you stay productive? Who did you turn to? Love, Fuchs (P.S. I am doing much better than when I was first 'diagnosed' but it's still a struggle. Therapy and medication have, so far, worked great for me. I want to make a point to say that like me, you both are both very self-deprecating about yourselves. I want you to know that your work, who you are, is a respite. I don't say that as a way to put some weird sort of pressure on you guys but as a thank you. Even when this show ends, I'll still have what guys worked hard to give. )

Christian Fuchs

When do we get an "Oops, all roasts!" episode of the double?

Jeremy Burchett

Hey Doughboys, How do you make new friends as an adult? I’m socially inept.

Oscar Reyes

Doughboys! (+ Emma et al). I started my own company about a year and a half ago and just started hiring a handful of full time employees. What do you think would be good employee perks to offer these cats to make their work lives a bit more enjoyable? A fun office environment with free snacks, games and whatnot isn’t applicable, as we all work remotely. Interested in hearing things you’d appreciate from your employer if you worked remotely. Thanks!! Max lift? ~180lb

Collin

Hey Doughboys, Emma, Yusong, Wolly and Erma. I saw your show in Portland and was curious to know if you guys saw the public water bubblers on the streets. They run or at least ran constantly to give water, which is life, to all who needed it. If you could come across one contraption that gave out a free food item on the street, what would that look like? What food would it provide? Love you all. I genuinely mean that.

Jason Malone

Hello Doughboys, Emma, and Yusong! My wife and I just had our first baby a couple of weeks ago. When she’s old enough to eat the same shit that I eat, what should her first fast food meal be?? For reference, we live in Oklahoma, so no In-N-Out unfortunately.

Max lift: $140 worth of groceries, all at once, while typing in my apartment’s gate code

I'm sure you've all had to work shitty jobs while trying to pursue personal creative projects on your own time. I'm a college lecturer, and I'm always pretty productive with my writing over the summer but it hits a brick wall once the semester starts. It's especially hard to strike a work-life balance when most of my work, like grading and lesson planning, takes place at home. Any advice for making time for creative work around your day job?

jacob moore

Hey Mitch, Nick, Emma, Yusong, and Amelia! I am 26 and am working a 9 to 5 job to fund my college courses. In the past year been dealing with serious depression and anxiety. Prior to this, some of you might have known me as the run guy on the doughscord. These days I count it as a win if make it outside at all. Somedays I don't even get out of bed. My question is this: I'm approaching 30. I have no safety net, a decent amount of debt, and now am 'battling' mental illness. Have any of you been in a situation somewhat similar to this and what steps did you take to find a life raft in a sea of self-doubt? Who did you turn to too? Love you guys! - Fuchs(Also, I want to say that things have gotten MUCH better for me since I was at my worst. Therapy and medication work for me but it is still a struggle. Also, I am now canonically a walker per Wiger. One more thing, you guys all are very self-deprecating, as am I, but I want you to know that your work is a respite for others. If you ever have a day where you feel like it's not worth it... I'd love to tell you that it is. We all love you guys.)

Hi Doughboys, I’m thinking about seeing a hypnotherapist to voodoo myself into making healthier eating and exercise choices, but I’m afraid of making myself vulnerable to strangers, especially ones that do mind tricks. Do I bite the bullet, spend the money, and do it? Or do I use that money to get a trainer and say “fuck hypnotists”?

Tyler Lorenz

A question on food and life. What was the best meal you ever ate? And what is more important - the food or the company? A group of us recently did a River float in upstate New York with a bucket of Popeyes and a cooler of beer. The company, serenity of nature and crunch of that chicken will stick with me longer longer than any of the high end, stuffy meals I ate this year.

Della

Hi Doughboys, what were your favorite childhood family traditions? I’m pregnant with my first child and and have no idea what I’m doing. My max lift is 25 lbs.

Nora C

Hi Doughfam. I’m at a bit of a crossroads and need your advice. A very good job opportunity has been presented to me and I feel like it’s probably the best job that I can hope to get for someone who fucked off in my teens and twenties and also never finished college. The issue is that I would have to relocate to a town about an hour and half away and I know based on previous conversations that my girlfriend would not be willing to come with me. What should I do?

Dustin Yager

Hi Doughboys, I started a new job earlier this year and my manager really wants to promote me. I would get a huge pay raise and more flexibility, but the job would be very stressful and I may have to work overtime. Should I climb the corporate ladder or just chill in my entry level position?

Sofia

Max lift: Maybe 180?

I got divorced a couple of years ago after having been in a relationship for 19 years (4 dating, 15 married). I'm 42, and the idea of dating anyone at this point just doesn't interest me. That may change, of course, but at the moment, I'm fine being single. However, my family, friends, and colleagues always are trying to urge me to date or even set me up with people they know. How can I let them know that I truly, truly am all right and don't want to date anyone now, or possibly ever? Whenever I tell them, they act like they don't believe me. And is it healthy to not want to be in a relationship ever again? (And, PS, what's your favorite flavor/color Jolly Rancher?)

Scott H [Hugizu on Discord]

What life advice would Mitch give Nick and would Nick give Mitch? What do each of the boys think the other should do differently?

Andy Buck

Its looking more likely that my SO and I won't be having children. Question to Nick: How is it being a married childless man when lots of your friends and family have children? Question to Mitch: Should we get a 3rd cat? We have 2 tuxedos also.

Dan

Hey y'all. Just had my first doughbaby girl. I'm the same age as Mitch and have similar 'problems'. How should I raise my daughter to be less of a piece of shit than I am? Thanks Emma, Nick, and Yusong!

Toby

I had weight loss surgery a year ago and went from 344 lbs down to 192 lbs (152 lbs if Mitch can't math) while my diet has changed wildly I still have fast food. The items are much smaller and the selection is way worse. What large items at fast food restaurants would you like to be smaller? I would like any of the monthly special burgers from Sonic. My max lift is probably a couple of kittens but my max hip thrust is probably a mamma Mitchell.

Mike

What are your best tips for those days where you experience an immense amount of existential dread?

North Owl

Do you ever feel burnt out on something you enjoy (such as music or videogames) and what do you do to build up enthusiasm again?

Alexander Adrock

Hey Doughboys, Yusong, and Emma! I'm about to start a new job and I really want this to be a place I work forever. Do you have any tips for making a good impression? Any things I should avoid? How about any tips for organizing my workspace so it's an inviting place for coworkers to hang out? Thanks a lot! -Kate aka Rita Pwn on twitch (proud yu_song sub)

Kathryn Evans

How do you deal with rejection in show business? I am relatively new to comedy (been doing it seriously for about 18 months) and I can’t help but feel awful when an audition doesn’t go well or when someone I know books something that I wanted. Is this just a growing pains type thing? I want to know how to grow a thicker skin when it comes to rejection in “show business.”

Karlie Menzel

How do you cope with the fact that McDonalds snacks wraps aren’t back yet?

Kyle

What kind of project entices you all more? One that pays more or one that gives you more professional satisfaction? I recently took on a large scope of work as a Program Manager, yet as it was an internal promotion, it came with much less $$$ than what I would've gotten as an outside hire. I could leave my company for a regular engineering role that makes more money at a bigger company, but I wouldn't own a program. Help me doughboys you're my only hope

Not_a_gov_contractor

Oh my max lift is like, a 15lb. dumbbell.

Josh

Do you ever get stuck in a rut of eating the same things for lunch or dinner over and over? Any tips for breaking out of it?

Josh
