The closest approximation in English is BUN mi, as in a hot dog BUN. This is the South Vietnamese accent. In the North Vietnamese accent, the closest approximation is BANG mi, and yes it sounds like you’re asking to BANG me. Either pronunciation is correct. This was a fun episode, and I loved how you guys investigated this hot dog scandal.

Truly one of the worst bars I have ever been to as a lifelong dive bar guy and the fact it took place here makes the story way worse than anyone can imagine I invite ppl to google the place lol. I shudder thinking about my time spent there.
