When I was younger, my parents left my older brother in charge while they went to the store. He wanted to make a pastrami sandwich and I just wanted PB&J. So he made me a PB&J but I realized about halfway through that it tasted weird. I opened it up and he had made a PB&J and put two slices of pastrami in the middle. I’ve never been able to eat pastrami since because the experience was so gross. Have you ever been completely turned off of a food because of a prank?

All the talk about ALF on the Rally’s/Checkers episode got me thinking - where did ALF go to the bathroom? Did he use the toilet? Did he have a litter box? Did he go in the yard? If so, who was cleaning up after him? And if he was used to eating cats and switched to a plant based diet (no meat shall ALF eat) did that mess with his digestive system? Hello Nick, Mitch, Emma, and Yusong, I'm an English teacher at an urban school in Ohio, and one of my favorite assignments is food writing. All students eat and have a favorite food so the assignment is accessible, and it allows my students and I to learn about each other's cultures through food as I work at a very diverse school. I've even learned about some amazing local Mexican and Somali restaurants this way! We read several reviews and excerpts of food writing in the process, including from local publications, Anthony Bourdain, the late Jonathan Gould, and even the infamous NYT Guy Fieri review. For me it's goat cheese - there are so many times where I've gotten excited by something on the menu until I realize it has goat cheese as a key ingredient. I know a lot of people love goat cheese, and I've tried it again and again hoping to like it, but it's always too sour for me. I really wish I liked it and I just don't. I love when my ice cream pint from the grocery store gets all soft and semi-melty on the way home. My favorite way to eat it is to use the very edge of my spoon to gently take the softest layer off the top, then eat the outside edges, and repeat as the ice cream continues to soften. Favourite value menu burger? Has there ever been a show that you binge watched that also subconsciously or consciously had you eating a specific food from that show? When I binge watched LOST I couldn’t stop eating mangos because they were constantly eating them on the show, and not until a few weeks in did I realize I was eating at least half a dozen mangos a week directly due to watching those beautiful lost people eat them daily. Also, while watching the Sopranos I became obsessed with pasta dishes and making my own Sunday Gravy, can’t tell you how much money I spent weekly utterly failing at making an amazing sauce. You could say I was on a Road to a Respectful gravy… sorry my jokes are like Yusong’s . Thanks guys!

Hi Nick, Mitch, Emma and Yusong, In this hypothetical scenario, you go into a gas station and you need to use the bathroom but they say you have to buy something first. Instinctively, what would be the first chocolate or candy bar you would pick up to buy? Also, along these lines, is there a chocolate or candy bar which has been around for a long time that you have never tried? Not because you don’t like the look of it necessarily, more so like a confectionary blindspot (like a movie everyone has seen but you haven’t got around to seeing for example). Hi Doughboys Crew! Like you, I enjoy all manner of restaurants from fast food to fine dining. With my busy schedule, I find myself patronizing fast food restaurants more often than I’d like when I’d really rather be cooking or sitting down at a favorite local spot. While I love burgers and the typical fast food menu, I wish there were more varied options when I want something lightning fast. My question to you is: What type of cuisine do you wish existed as a drive through option? My choices would be Salvadoran (I think pupusas could be done well at that scale) or Korean. As someone who lives in the Mid Atlantic, we are crazy for Old Bay seasoning. I just had my gallbladder removed. For the 2 months leading up to the surgery I ate mostly salads so as to avoid gallbladder flareups, because they really really really hurt. That being said, anytime we had jambalaya you better believe I ate as much as I could knowing full well I'd suffer for it. When a restaurant provides a choice in seating or is “seat yourself”, I often find myself paralyzed by the choice and worry that the other people in my party will not be happy with what I choose if it has not been discussed beforehand. For example - bar area or dining room, inside or outside, booth or table. If I arrive with others I will always default to someone else but it seems no one ever wants to make the decision. What is the best fast food deal you have encountered? Back in the mid 90s there was a Subway I would go to in NYC that had 2 foot longs for $8. 12 years before the $5 foot long promotion. Also in the early 90s at a McDonalds in Florida I went to, there use to be 29 Cent Hamburger Tuesdays and 39 Cent Cheeseburger Wednesdays.

Hey boys! I’ve worked for several years at a semi-notable bakery in Salem, MA (shout out to A&J King), and the whole time I’ve been working there we’ve sold Spindrift beverages. While everyone is now familiar with their family of seltzers (second best to Polar, IMO), when I first encountered them they were making straight-up fruit sodas. Full sweetness! Sort of like naturally crafted Fantas. Those were their main business, while seltzers were a side product that gradually overtook their fully sweet older brothers. The sodas were fine, but Spindrift has really shined with their seltzer. So my question is: can you guys think of any brand/restaurant/et al who thoroughly overhauled their image/product lineup and did so not only successfully but in a way that surpassed their original business? My pitch: A sequel to the 1997 sports comedy classic “The 6th Man.” A Five Guys franchisee’s brother passes away 3 days before the big grand opening of their Cedar Rapids location and they are understaffed because, well you know. The ghost of his brother saves the day by ghoulishly flipping burgers to help the team out. It’s only by serving the entire lunch rush that the ghost can move on to the other side. On a recent episode, you indicated that you will never do International shows, despite Mitch wanting to do Doughboys Down Under. Having been to your Saskatoon show in the frozen hell of a prairie winter along with every other bearded heavyset man in 1000 kms (and having hear about a nasty Vancouver show experience), I wonder whether you have simply repressed your trips to Canada, or do you simply not consider us a different country??? Is there a food or beverage you really WANT to like but can’t, even when going into it with a positive attitude and “finding the best version” of it? I think Bloody Marys look like so much fun to make and drink, but I just find the powerful taste unbearable. I even joined friends in getting one at a place famous for them here in Brooklyn and I couldn’t get through it. Do you guys have any experiences like this? Taco Bell did do shrimp tacos about 12 years ago. I had them in jersey at the time. They weren’t as bad as you might think but they weren’t great either!!!! Also the fact that they (as one of the best fast food places for vegetarians of all time) STILL don’t have a beyond or impossible option is truly perplexing. I hope they do that soon. Great question!!!!

Has anyone ever mixed different items from multiple fast food locations for one meal? I sometimes like to get a double hamburger from In N Out, then stop by the McDonald’s next door to get a fries and Coke to go with it. Love you guys. The pod makes my Tuesday and Thursday mornings much easier doing maintenance at 5 in the morning.

What is the kid’s meal toy that meant the most to you as a child? Personally, I loved the muppet baby vehicles from McDonalds. While they were not from a kid’s meal, the Land Before Time puppets from Pizza Hut were incredible.
