Discord suggestions
Added 2022-04-15 20:42:12 +0000 UTCHey guys! The time has come to bring out a discord server (sometime next week). Hopefully it'll be a safe and convenient space to chat between ourselves and discuss ideas/share memes/our own artworks.
But I'd love to hear some thoughts from you regarding what kind of channels you'd like to see in the server. Maybe you have suggestions for what you wouldn't like to see 👀 let me know!
Also, wondering if we should make the server public but with a closed off Patreon Section (which would also make the titles of my Patreon supporters more meaningful) or if you'd prefer to make it Patreon-only discord. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I would like kind of both? I would love to have a separate section in discord where only my Patrons can see and interact and to also have a few open channels to the public so that we can still grow a wider community and possibly get people interested in joining Patreon. Just thinking we could start as a Patreon only community, test it out in general for a month or so. And then see how we go from there and create some channels that are public.

2022-04-16 14:57:32 +0000 UTCI have experience with a community discord, and I can tell you that the majority (90%) of the people that join our servers are just lurkers. They tend to just react and read our channels. The main idea of making the server públic is for utility. For example doing events, polls, fan showcases, auctions. You can also try to gamificate the server and make the people want to join patreon for some advantages. The key is knowing for what are you going to create a community. Sorry for the pedantry hahaha... Just trying to help giving a deep point of view
