YouTube has been bleeding the mindshare of independent content providers for awhile and this is one way its been happening. I won't be surprised if youtube makes a rule to not allow this, probably targeting more specific competitors. I think this will just alienate content providers that see this happening and start a stampede to the door

2022-03-23 16:57:29 +0000 UTCI am sure you have thought of this, but in case you haven't, I'd continue to post on Vimeo and start a second unlisted YouTube page as a backup for your main YouTube page. You could use that second page that is private that could go live if needed. YouTube is not targeting your type of content and I wouldn't be concerned about a permanent ban occurring. I had a YouTube page deleted by YouTube (in error) and used my backup page a few weeks later while I appealed.
