It happens quite often that Alena falls asleep before me at night, when we cuddle up to go to sleep. It's the caring Dom in me that waits up to make sure she falls asleep okay, that she feels safe and looked after. She's sleeping so quietly besides me right now, holding onto my arm. I feel so lucky to have her and to have had the privilege of keeping her safe all these years!
