I am "living" in NYC now :) Not 100%, but definitely working my way toward that goal! I don't have my own place, not even a room, just staying with photographer friends once here, once there. But I am very happy and I feel like I truly belong to this place.
I met a lot of amazing people during this first week, I feel very inspired, even though I know it will not be easy for me to afford even the most modest lifestyle in this city. I am full of plans and ideas. Professional burnout of 2023 is completely gone and forgotten!
On the negative side (even though it doesn't bother me that much), agency work in NYC looks more like a scam, many agencies will accept you for a subscription fee to never book you for an actual job. But will keep you guys updated, if I change my mind on that matter!
Back to good news - with my good friend James Wigger who shot most of my collodion portraits, we are preparing a special edition of Substrate magazine, entirely dedicated to our work of nearly 2 years. It shall be released end of November, and trust me, it is gonna be epic!
