This time, the source material is more like yokai or supernatural phenomena.
For erotic supernatural tales, the tried-and-true Yasaka-sama and Sadako, who also appears in quite a few videos.
Speaking of supernatural phenomena, I thought of the Woman with the Split Mouth, plus the Hundred-Eyed Demon, which I personally like.
You know, the one from the old Jump manga Nūbē.
The original yokai is more stocky and squat,
but the Nūbē version is the one where a female student gets possessed. Even though it's a shōnen manga, I distinctly remember it being pretty erotic.
I'm convinced there must be some fan fiction out there depicting the “what if she didn't survive” version somewhere. (I've never seen it myself)
I figured explaining it might actually be counterproductive, so I made it with almost no explanatory dialogue.
Or rather, supernatural beings hardly ever speak, and I couldn't explain things from the protagonist's perspective, so it naturally turned out that way.
While creating it, I worried the overall flavor might be too thin, but I think it turned out quite readable.
It seems better to avoid awkward explanations and express things visually as much as possible.
Probably especially since it's an erotic manga.
Since reading web novels is a hobby of mine, I sometimes feel compelled to explain things with text,
but I realized it's better to eliminate that tendency. Duh?
Anyway, lately when I try to write something quickly, I find myself repeating ideas from previous works even at the plot or storyboard stage,
so I need more time to squeeze out new concepts.
I feel like I'm running out of short story ideas.
So, I think it's about time to return to AE Season 3.
I'd planned to wait until after finishing PP and the alien project since they overlap,
but since that one's almost done too, maybe it's okay to start now.
That said, I don't have a detailed plot for Season 3 either.
I have a rough idea of the general flow and which characters to introduce.
I guess I'll just go with the flow on that part.
Still, first things first: finishing this current draft.
Early December will be this final draft, then back to PP next. PP itself has about 2-3 episodes left.
After that, I plan to use the manga slot for continuing AE.
Plans are just plans, so changes are definitely possible.
