Update 05/30 - Scriptwriting Troubles, and GW Copyright Strikes?

GREETINGS.

This is Alfabusa!
Long time since posted a post last.
But, Earndil is on vacation, so I again grab hold of this terrible power, to the tribulation of many.

Allow me to tell you of our daily horrors…

Hunter: The Parenting Script-Writing issues

Something I want to address first is our current, most significant bottleneck.

Up until the completion of Chapter 5, all hands were on deck in one way or another.
Most of our scriptwriters were either busy focusing on other tasks, or occupied with real-life struggles that prevented efficient creation of new scripts.

We did get some scripts out, as you can tell by the content released between Chapter 4 and 5.
But, we never managed to get ahead of the curve.

After Chapter 5’s release, it took far longer than we’re comfortable with actually getting the script for Chapter 6 fully prepared.

We’ve discussed this extensively and recognised what strings of intersecting issues that caused this cavalcade.
Now, we’re making strides toward solving it.
Currently, all our full-time scriptworkers (Speaker, Earndil, me) are focusing on preparing scripts, so we can sit cozily ahead of the curve going into the future.

This, unfortunately, does mean it’ll be a while longer before the release of the next Audiolog.
But, it's one worth waiting for, I think!

I’ll go into detail on just what these next projects will be…

HUNTER: THE PARENTING: CHAPTER 5.2 - Werewolf Lore: Kitten and Big-D’s Unveiling of the Garou

As our Hunters await the coming of the Coalition forces, they dig through the Arcanum’s halls to try and find anything that could help them find and rescue Marckus.
It will have our Hunters learn of the Wolves through a sequestered series of records from the 1920s, recorded by none other than Wernon Fatigue himself, revealing a scholarly expedition he was on researching Lycantrophy. But not everything is as it seems…
This Audiolog will be quite a long one, most similar to Chapter 3.7, the Ghoul Lore Audiolog, but with an adventure from a wholly different time and place explored between its bouts of raw lore-learning.

This script is ALMOST done, currently going through its second draft!

HUNTER: THE PARENTING: CHAPTER 5.3 - Door & Boy at O’Tolleys

As foretold, father and son go to the fast-food place for their meat burgers.
But, as you might expect, things don’t go exactly as planned…
This will naturally be a more character-focused little thing, exploring these two and their precious if somewhat strained relationship.

This script still needs work, with a first draft not entirely finished. It's currently going through renovation and some refocusing.

HUNTER: THE PARENTING: CHAPTER 5.4 - The Second Inquisition

Representatives of The Coalition arrive at the Arcanum Chapter House, heeding the call of its Chancellor.
But for as brutally simple that dealing with the Sabbat or even a Werewolf is…
Dealing with bureaucrats is a whole different ballgame, one our family is not equipped to handle.
A call for aid ends up a conflict in and of itself, as the rescue of Marckus is stalled by those with other motives for even coming.
This script’s skeleton draft has been constructed, but has not been fully reviewed yet by our team.

HUNTER: THE PARENTING: CHAPTER 5.5 - Kitten: The Grimaling

WIP title maybe?
But, this Chapter is a short little character exploration of Kitten and Grimal, their relationship with eachother, and with Marckus. Something to conclude their spat in the Chapter House, now very much informed by the nightmare situation they find themselves in.
This script is VERY close to finished, with a finished first draft, going through its second draft!

HUNTER: THE PARENTING: CHAPTER 6

Obviously, Chapter 6 is very much on our radar.
The script is finally finished, we have recorded a lot of it,storyboarding is currently ongoing, and earlier this week audio-editing begun.
I want to note that this Chapter will be nowhere near as long as Chapter 5, and that is entirely by design.
Think Chapter 3. Shorter, intenser, more dramatic, more action-packed.

Of note however, Chapter 6 will, no matter what, release after these last four previously mentioned Sub-Chapters, as they will inform a lot of the goings-on of Chapter 6.

HUNTER: THE PARENTING: CHAPTER 7

We do NOT want a repeat of what happened with Chapter 5 into Chapter 6.
And so, we have already started Chapter 7 and are intending to have the script wholly finished by the release of Chapter 6. Chapter 7 currently has its skeleton draft done, and now just needs to go into its first draft!
Of course, I can’t give many details on this one as you haven’t even seen Chapter 6 yet!
Of note is that we also intend on releasing a couple of Sub-Chapters between Chapter 6 and 7, but we have not yet fully decided on what story threads to pull at.
Likely revisiting Kevin and Guy, as well as some characters who ended up not being the focus of Chapter 6 and their involvement in this current conflict.

That is all on that front, however!

TERRIBLE excited to get our next thing going, it's been A LOT of fun to write…

NORFOLK WIZARD GAME

For Norfolk Wizard Game, Chapter 3 is currently still under way.
We’re at this time still doing visuals, but, with most of our staff’s focus currently on either scriptwork or Chapter 6, NWG is going slower than it otherwise would…
When we start feeling better on the script-front, NWG Chapter 3 will be finished in no time.

Gamers Workshop Fan Content Issue

Alright, so for something a bit less exciting!!!

Earlier this May, we received reports of a few videos being targeted with copyright strikes from GW, and among the videos targeted, there was also clear parody content.

Whether or not we will receive any form of copyright strike on OUR channel remains to be seen.

If even one video is struck, then we are likely going to have to remove all TTS content on the channel, because if we get three strikes, the ENTIRE CHANNEL is removed, including all our newer projects.

And even if this is a one-time thing and they do not do it again, we can never know that until it does happen again.
And, currently, I see no reason why it wouldn’t.

So, we are, without a shadow of a doubt, not touching GW IPs again until they make some kind of show of not wanting to engage in this behaviour continually.

If we are struck, or even if the channel is REMOVED…

That will be a massive blow against us.
But, it do not think it will be the end, as the viewerbase we have amassed as Ogre Poppenang has shown us.

Nevertheless, we will see how this progresses, and we’ll keep you all updated.
