Update 04/30 - ☢️Important Update to all Credits Tier Patrons Alert Alert!☢️

It's once again update day, and this could mean we have updates...

But what if... we didn't... ellipses...

Hey all, Earndil here with another Patreon Update for everyone to see!

This time, we will have some production updates to put forth, as WELL as something pertaining to people within the relevant Credit Attribution tier!

Please do read on, it'd be a pity if I wrote only for no one to read.

I'll start with the broad details regarding production, in that we've taken a lot of boring, uninteresting, but highly necessary steps to streamline and shore up the production process!

Namely, that we have begun having more frequent, more in-depth, and more constructive meetings regarding where people are in terms of the production pipeline

What does this mean for you all?

Absolutely nothing!

Beyond that it will increase productivity and awareness of what's going on behind the scenes for us, at least.

There's still quite a lot of unnecessary faffing about that occurs in our production server, and there will always be room for us to trim it back, but truly, some habits will die hard, or stick with you forever, and inefficiency is our watchword here at Ogre Poppenang.

We may never be rid of it in every aspect, but is that not what makes us human?

I digress.

Specifics for production include that, as of writing, we have successfully finished the H:TP Chapter 6 script (possibly)!

It took us a long time because there were a great number of Panels in this episode, that were ultimately deemed to be... unnecessary.

Before efforts to prune and trim as much as we could were underway, we somehow had managed to include even more Panels, in an episode that will categorically not go on nearly as long as Episode 5.

The lion's share of effort in this arena has been to prune unique Panels down to an agreeable level for the duration of the episode, as the general progression was decided long ago. Work can now begin proper on storyboarding, art orders, and killing Blessed.

Storyboarding!

Right!

Aaaaas you may or may not be aware, previously we have employed the services of one Cockpuncher3, a powerful storyboardist and student.

He is still employed by us, albeit currently very busy on other fronts.

However, last time around we hit a great many snags with the storyboard being produced at a very slow pace due to his college work interfering with his time to work on this.

We have now decided that, within reason, we have expanded the roster of Storyboardists to include a few key members of our staff (Namely Garrot, RudeRubicante, and Noelle), as well as myself (Earndil)!

This will result in some growing pains, but ultimately broadening the storyboard staff will greatly increase our traction with regards to getting, and keeping, the ball rolling for production.

We don't have much specific for other projects at present, we're still working at NWG Chapter 3, and Rads to Riches has had its 3rd session recorded as of right now. All the audio for R2R has been synched, and past this point will come the daunting task of cutting and compiling. BUT.

I have spoken enough about these matters.

Below, you will find an update for everyone regarding certain tiers of the Patreon!

So, to all you in the relevant tiers, hear us, please...

To put this bluntly, doing the credits each and every time for these episodes has gotten... time consuming.

We have been IMMENSELY fortunate in having such an invested and generous viewerbase as you.

But, by that same token, the sheer volume of data that we have to collate and add to the credits has ballooned quite dramatically since our first foray into striking out on our own.

What does this mean?

Well, to put it simply, there will be changes to how the Patreon Credits are done going forward.

In this instance, all names going forward will be in a default color, unless otherwise requested.

We are going to be a bit more strict with regards to requests, in that people be specific with how they want their names to look.

For people of the relevant tiers of subscription, what this means is that if you want to submit your name in a specific color, font, and with little images, we will, as the standard, reuse that template you've provided us for your name going forward into all future credits.

Whilst doing it THIS way has had its history of issues as well, re-doing all of it each time, with minor changes, is also incredibly time consuming when you have over a thousand supporters, and we're looking to reduce overextension, and the capacity for error (as has been noticed frequently of late).

We're currently finding a middle ground that keeps the tradition of unique expression we've had for such a long time in our Patreon Credits, whilst also avoiding having to continuously delay the video because the credits take such a long time to finish.

However, as this affects those of you within this tier, we do still want to hear what you have to say about this alteration!

More details will of course be available later on, as I workshop this with Alfa.
