Update 03/29 - Chapter 4 and Beyond

I am used to waiting on episodes for long periods of time. I understand that not aways things go by as planned. I am always happy when a notification pops up that you guys have released a new episode of any of your projects. And I aways find time to listen and/or watch it entirely! Keep up the good work!!!!!

Huh, perhaps just making it a personal use fan-made crossover animated story would be better. As in just make it but not post it until they have decided to change that "no separate, unrelated stories to any franchises we work with" however long that will be, which I'm guessing is until further notice right?

You can try, but there's a big risk of them taking it down from wherever you publish the video because it's not allowed. If it's just written, it's easier to make and publish.

Sigh, fair enough. I guess they will never change the policy. Which means I can't make my own story being a crossover not related to the official lore, in any way or any other story franchises included in it and post it any where for entertainment at all no questions asked right?

I'm being blunt just so you don't build any more hope before GW crushes it. Games Workshop is ruthless. They will say no if you ask them nicely. And they will say no if you ask them rudely. If you can find a compelling argument, backed up with data, that explains how they make more money by allowing fan works and animation outside of their own animation platform, they might listen. But that's a very tenuous maybe. Games Workshop is very mean and controlling when it comes to their IP. They changed the name of the Imperial Guard just so they could trademark it and make it easier to sue people who try to make fan works or other derivative works. Don't flight that battle unless you're willing to devote a large portion of your life to it, and a lot of money.

Please don't ask content creators questions like this. If they wanted anyone to know, they would have published it. It's very dangerous to give out this information to anyone online, when you have a fan base. Someone might show up to their house and harass them, stalk them, or threaten them. It happens very very often to celebrities big and small.

You're not going to convince Games Workshop to reverse their policy regarding fan animations. They're utterly ruthless about things like this, and you're about 3 years too late to join the chorus of people very angrily complaining about the policy. I don't mean to be rude, I just want to be very clear that you're more likely to get them to copyright strike fan videos, than you are to get them to give permission to make more videos. It's best to let the existing fan works go unnoticed and let some more time pass before trying to get GW to reverse the policy. TTS is in the past. Maybe one day it'll come back, but if you wait for it, you're going to waste a lot of years waiting.

Just thought of something if the Captain General you made for you're story found out about the lie the 3 semi-nude Custodes told the Emperor and in front of all present in episode #27 after all he went through he'd make the Emperor's warp storm fits look like some jester being humiliating the worst knight who attempts to steal glory from everyone in front of the whole kingdom if someone came looking for them and had been ordered the Emperor wanted to see them before being sent to Mars this combined with those who have remained by his side out of mutual respect and all that would also be infuriated by such abhorrent jealousy while trying to comfort him

I also wanted to say. I am writing down a rough draft of a Fan-made story of my own on my PC with Crossovers, a different plot and the goal in the plot to be all the Protagonist parties unite to form one massive mega galaxy coalition power each working to benefit as a whole and improving all their various societies. So weather or not that sounds good I was wondering if you know a PC voice app that uses voice overlaps to make the actor sound more like you want and if I could borrow some samples of your voices? I also intend to make a different animation from yours too as in full body motion and way too at least indicate who speaking to who when there soldiers with armour and colour schemes and all that easier to identify not just by voice or their actions but also somehow their position on the screen. If you know any people who can help me please let them know. I had written down in the draft that I don't claim ownership of any franchises related to this fan-made story I'm making. I would appreciate it one way or another so Please when you have time, I will also appeal to the GW staff members about you're TTS40K YouTube story not just as a token of gratitude but because I love the story and we love that side of the franchise anyway so that makes us friends

I actually just remembered. I asked the GW people about something and they suggested something about live chat for question or issues we have on the matter via Email on their Black library address. If you and I attend one of them be it separate or the other and ask really nicely about our concerns with a strong appeal case it might work to both our benefits

Honestly there don't need to be visuals at all. The Top Favorite Primarchs and the Exalted Canals of the Emperor's Undesired didn't have visuals and they were still awesome. Audiologs that are pure audio are still awesome.

To be very blunt: you are trying too hard with the audio log visuals. The writing and acting is excellent and you tell very compelling stories very successfully without adding visuals to a podcast. The probing of Kevin was absolutely top notch. You really don't need to put in the visual effort like the pub one and beyond. If it's slowing you down and causing distress and other problems, please stop. Your work is good enough. You don't need to turn a podcast into a very pretty video to make it good.

Something we have with pain realised regarding the Audiologs and Video Essay stuff specifically is that even if they take way less time to produce, they no matter what still stall work on the mainline content. Currently, we've dedicated ourselves to working on stuff other than Chapter 5 for a month just to have content to release in the dryzone between now and the Chapter 5 release. But that is something we planned for, at the cost of Chapter 5 taking a bit more time to make. That's the constant thing we have to deal with. If we release Audiologs, that's still gonna take time away from the next Chapter. If we could create Audiologs whilst avoiding stalling work on the next Chapter, that would be super ideal, but we've yet to figure out a way to do it that doesn't involve either sending too many people away from our main projects, or employing more people, which isn't really a possibility with the current budget. But we will try and do it. Being able to release Audiologs regularly whilst keeping the next Chapter on track is our holy grail currently. Our current experiment is to simply lower the quality of the Audiolog visuals, more to what they were before the Pub one. That, we think, will make our Audiolog content significantly easier to make, and could pave the path towards regular Audiologs AND no Chapter stalling.
