Update 12/08 - You WILL NOT BELIEVE what the EVIL SORCERER has done THIS TIME

It is Alfabusa, back at it again to get you an Update before the new illness takes hold of my flesh.

I will do this again, look out, be excited, more of this high-skill formating coming at you from bogre poppang broductiones.

To keep a simple summary simple; progress is being made on all fronts, we are getting some painfully good art done, some of our best animaton and we're making good headway on the script for the Chapter after this next one, Kevin plush meeting is happening next week, and new audio-episode of Norfolk Wizard Game is finished VERY soon.

Now, to get more granular...

☉ PROGRESS ON ANIMATION!

So, progress on our animation has been hampered slightly by the fact that my whole family was inflicted with influenza last week, and Karl came down with something similar this week. We both still did work despite this since its hard to not work since work never ends when you work from home, but the efficiency of said work was severely diminished.

While we did pass by eachother, we both got out fair share of animation done, and you're getting a taste of it up above.

This is from the very beginning of the episode so it isn't much of a spoiler. We decided to try for an immediate action scene, to start the whole Arc by levying a barrage of punches in your face. We figured that'd grab your attention, hopefully!!

Then we also got some finished captures from the Chapter here;

Introducing Grimal and Elise, ripping them from the confines of their one Audiolog appearance and introducing them proper, alongside a new character, Occam O'Connell, Chancellor of the Arcanum Chapter House of Great Yarmouth. This Panel was drawn by RudeRubicante!

I figured I'd start attributing names to some of the captures I post here by the way because why not credit the illustrators who painstakingly drag these our nightmares from the dreaming into reality? We LOVE them for this.

☉ PROGRESS ON ART!

Speaking of art, I want to mention that, oh fucking boy, we are really amping up the quality of our artwork this time around. You could perhaps see it in the preview, or perhaps in some of the captures. But you haven't seen anything yet. There is much left. Some of which I can share right now!

This is a setpiece for a scene that happens later in the episode. Not been animated yet, but we're getting there. This piece is by Inktooth!

I also wanted to post this unfinished piece because its one of the most ambitious backgrounds in any of our content so far. It depicts the Arcanum Chapter House of Greaty Yarmouth, and if you want to, you can even find on Google Maps exactly where this house would have been located in real life, as it is built upon an old medieval tower wall, carelessly domineering a fragile piece of the past with this gaudy library for the elite.

This one is by cockpuncher3. Of course.

While I'm at it, I also want to highlight that HEY FUCK INKTOOTH IS BACK AYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Inktooth is an exceptionally talented illustrator that we unfortunately had to lay off last year as a result of ever-tightening budgeting issues. However, after our now year-old Update video, we got a massive influx of new patrons. While it's been a rough road back, that support was critical, and we have now been able to get EVERYONE who we had to lay off back then to work with us again. 

SO, MASSIVE THANK YOU FOR THAT.

☉ PROGRESS ON SCRIPTWORK!

So, script!

An issue we've had with both Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 is that they contain 17 characters enclosed in a single location and, in large part, focused on ~A Mystery~.

This isn't very easy to write for, especially in a manner that is both fulfilling but at the same time concise.

We wanted Chapter 4 and 5 to originally be a single Chapter but we soon found out that THAT was impossible for us to do.

While Chapter 4 has been finished for a time now, Chapter 5 has had a hard time starting up specifically because we had to figure out the flow.

A problem was that Speaker and I had a particular hang-up on one specific plot-point, a very important one, and had literally a eight hour debate about it spanning two days, trying to convince the other that the characters are acting illogical if they do what the other person is suggesting they do.

Fortunately, we are GOOD at reaching compromises, but this one took quite a time to reach, but we have confidence that the script will be all the stronger for it.

Now I am going to post a small snippet from it that you might appreciate even while only having watched the preview up above.

And THAT is THAT for Hunter this time around...

A few Updates back, we teased the fact that a plush for Kevin is, in fact, being conjured into the very reality that you and I inhabit!

Now, I can confirm this to be true for I have SEEN IT WITH MY EYES, I HAVE TOUCHED IT WITH MY SKIN, I HAVE STRANGLED IT WITH MY HANDS. IT IS REAL.

BEHOLD.

Here is my BELOVED son expressing his opinion of Kevin (this reaction was entirely unprompted).

Love this.

Next week, we are having a meeting with Makeship, ironing out the details of this campaign and how we'll be going out getting it out to you who, too, wish to strangle Kevin with your very own palms!

Alright, final stop on our Journey is covering some progress on Norfolk Wizard Game! Get ready to sink into the swamp!!!

☉ NEW AUDIO-RELEASE  SOON PLEASE???

So, the Awakenings have been out in their audio-form since September now.

I haven't really touched the true, proper Chapter 1 myself as I have been so busy with HTP. But, our very own Dr White has been at it, helping out with audio editing, and he JUST TODAY has managed to finish his final draft for Chapter 1 of Norfolk Wizard Game!

I just need to do a final pass myself and then it will be ready to be fed into the audio machines and straight into your ear canals...

And that is that for this Update!

Thank you immensely for sticking around, and I will say, sorry that this Chapter is taking such an ungodly long time to make. I'll have to go into more detail about the reasons for why this particular one is taking such EXTRA time in another Update.

But, until then, my baby boy just puked yesterday night and I am currently in dread alert mode expecting myself to fall ill any moment. Gonna go back to living in that headspace now, very cool and fun.
