Update 11/04 - The latest juicy newsy starring Earndil

Good Now, everyone.

It’s me Earndil, lead writer man, taking over writing this particular update because everyone else is either very asleep, or very Hjalmar Parent at the moment.

Sorry that it took far longer than usual for this one to get out, work has been big on all other fronts and it was unintentionally pushed back.

Nevertheless!

So, how about that Zero Viscosity huh?

We have been trawling the comments both on Youtube, and any other spheres in which we receive information, and have been elated to see the positivity that you’ve all been giving us!

It definitely is a rather bold shift for us, our end result is quite unlike anything we’ve produced before, and if I’m going to be totally honest we were all pretty nervous about how it would be received.

Mercifully, you guys have been nothing but kind for the most part, and for that we appreciate you deeply.

Ultimately it was as much a thing for you guys to enjoy as it was a test for ourselves, with us trying new animation techniques, and further streamlining our video-making process.

Now, some have been asking what the plan is for H:TP now that we’re focusing on our Half Life thing.

We have discussed at length in the past about what our plans are, and they remain exactly the same as before, our focus on animated content is going to be with Zero Viscosity for a while, whereas Hunter: the Parenting will continue with its secondary storylines in the form of audio-logs in the meantime.

We are by no means done with H:TP, not for a good long while, so keep your eyes and ears peeled to receive further things from there!

We never intended on staying just with the World of Darkness setting after our transition, so this is our first foray into another setting, an attempt to expand into doing more diverse content with the channel.

The thing about doing this kind of work is that you want to try and ensure burnout does not happen quickly, it will eventually happen regardless of your efforts, but we have so far kept it totally at bay through your support as well as through the variety of things we’ve produced.

Hopefully we can continue this into the future as well, but for now that’s a distant dream, and we are better suited for the now.

Rest assured though, H:TP will continue.

Onto H:TP itself, we are confident in the quality of Audiolog that we have been preparing for your enjoyment.

Frankly we’re pleasantly surprised that people seem to enjoy them as much as they do, statistically the previous attempts of ours at more “Podcast-Friendly” or “Podcast-Oriented” things tended to be well received, but not remotely as well as our mainline work.

This has changed!

Quite significantly, as a matter of fact, when it comes to our new works, and we’re super thrilled to see it.

We fully intend to keep up the quality of our work going forward, maybe even integrating more quality components as we go, we’ll see!

Other things to look out for in the future, Speaker has been hard at work writing a big, intricate, and decidedly Speaker-esque Video Essay on, what else, The World of Darkness.

Having gone over it myself, and knowing Speaker, it’s gonna be a wild ride, and it’ll be a pretty good primer for the setting and game itself, so prepare yourselves.

We haven’t got a concrete finish date on it as of writing (Not so beholden are we, to the concept of a deadline), but we’re hoping at least to have it out before the end of the year. It’s gonna be you guys, and Speaker in a 1 v ~200k Cage Match… and he’s gonna have the chair.

Finally, we will be preparing and releasing an Update Video, yes a full and proper one, about the current status of our productions, Ogre Poppenang, and how the world is affecting us all, in due time.

I again cannot provide a release date for it, but the goal with it is to hopefully be more transparent with the Youtube audiences that may not be so inclined or keen to visit the Patreon for all their news, or are members on YouTube.

Frankly we’re wanting to get this done now because it should’ve been done back in August to help build hype for ZV, and ideally pump up the numbers, as well as support here, but that just didn’t happen.

Because Alfabusa is FAIL.
