Update 08/15 - Stress Slightly Alleviated

AY

I'll be honest, I've been quite stressed as of late. Been stuck in my brain with EP29 too long and I wish it RELEASED like a SOUL from the entrapment of ROTTED FLESH.

But it has been alleviated a bit now with the release of the new Short.
I'm very happy it was received well (not to speak of Takahata's reaction, since he wrote and voiced most of it). Releasing stuff that people like always calms me down a day or two after release (the day of the release I am just a nauseous wreck).

EP29 is still a way off though. I have just about finished the Commorragh scenes for the episode which is a huge chunk, so that I'm happy with.
Now both I and Eversor are working together on the Magnus scenes.
It is still very hard to say when it'll all be done though which is the biggest source of DISTRESS. I can just go at it and hope it's sooner rather than later.

However!
I know you all are patient and nice and the greatest enablers one could ask for in this field.
It's easy to be distracted by the one or two comments I get every other week saying I don't work hard enough or that I am literally not working (that's become slightly more popular with the folks who believe I am neglecting work on TTS in favour of WarHams which is the exact opposite of the truth)...

But you never fail to just leave a heap of support in my lap that drills into my bones and pours liquid warmth into my marrow.
I feel as long as I have people here promoting my slow fanfic-spewing, I have no real reason to worry.

So BIG THANK YOU......

With that, and the advent of the WarHams show, I -think- I'd like to try and set up something new potentially...

EP29 and all episodes that proceed it are always going to be priority number ONE.
I feel like I've been too distracted by other projects this year. BROTRIP took its time, I've been writing a lot of random scripts, been screwing around with very wacky stuff and just not been properly considering that MAYBE EP29 NEEDS TO GET DONE.

I should always be working on an episode, at least a little bit every day.
However, since episodes still do take time, I figured I'd try to release a Short or an audiodrama or SOMETHING after every third WarHams upload.
Something I can work on simultaneously as the episode without it entirely taking over.
This gives me a bit of an actual, tangible schedule.

With this, I'd also like to make some key announcements in regards to the Podcasts and BROTRIP.
The script for the latest Podcast is currently in the stages of being finished, so that oughta be released at some point. I am not the one writing this one, getting some help from Earndil, Nostalgia and Voy.

As for BROTRIP, as of right now I am going to put most of the responsibility in regards to editing with Eversor. I'd like to work more on mainline episodes without distraction, but I want BROTRIP to continue, but it is admittedly the thing that takes the most time away from mainline episodes. Thus, Eversor will become the primary editor for that show, so both can be worked on at the same time!

Now, to be clear, everything I just said are still not entirely set in stone.
I do not know if I'll even be able to release something every third WarHams upload.
That might be too much for me. I won't know until I've tried.
All that matters is that you are CONTENT with my CONTENT.

...

Now!
For some things that are utterly unrelated to my work schedule!
If you do not care at all about garbage regarding me as a person, thank you for reading thus far, you are released!

First off; Patreon Lawsuit Thing
A few people contacted me last week and the week before and basically told me Patreon might be shutting down due to lawsuits levelled against it, where they'll be forced to pay arbitration fees up to almost 10 million dollars (as far as I've heard).

A few were gloating about this as some kind of "win" but others were genuinely concerned and told me I should probably consider alternatives.

This became a BIG source of added stress for a few days because I did not have the details.
The idea of having to use some other significantly less reliable platform for this made me realise Patreon dying would probably spell the end of me working on TTS full time.
I am calmer now though, because I realised these lawsuits will barely be a dent in Patreon's revenue.
In 2017, with 1 million patrons, they earned about 30 million in revenue.
In 2019, they now have 4 million patrons. And considering the changes they've made since 2017 to optimise the revenue they make, I simply cannot believe they'll go under unless the sum they're paying out is somehow WAY, WAY, WAY higher.

However, the worry regarding Patreon still does stand.
There really is no better alternative to Patreon, but just as a safety measure in case something very bad happens, I have been considering at least starting up and using YouTube's own inferior patreon alternative, 'YouTube Membership', just so I have some kind of safety net to fall back on in case things go to hell.

Second off;
I'm doing 100 days of playing Ringfit Adventure at the moment!
It's extremely effective thus far. I'm about 35 days in I think and my glutes are becoming more powerful by the day.
If you want to start exercising for real but don't feel like going to a gym or... going outside, then I cannot recommend Ringfit Adventure enough, it's extremely effective, especially if gamefying exercise works for you.

And that'll be that for now though, I gotta go to IKEA and die.

Until next time,
Have a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GUYFUN

The Emperor Protects! And we all love you and your work. AVE DOMINUS BUSA!

Pauly48

Take it easy on yourself, the more pressure you put on yourself, the harder it is to produce your best work.

Caithdean SValerient

As others said, don't worrry about Patreon too much. There are alternatives.

Its good to hear the next episode is coming along, but don't stress about getting it out as soon as possible. All of your stuff is pure gold man! you really do dedicate yourself to each episode and it really does show in the amount of laughs me and my friends have watching and even rewatching them. I recently just watched the DND episode and it still cracks me up. So don't beat yourself up over not getting each episode out on a regular basis, these things obviously take time. And as a certain famous quote says: "Good things come to those who wait" (P.S. if Patreon gets messed up then you can count on my support)

Joshua Blake

If Patreon does go down you can expect my support wherever you end up! I don’t comment to much, but there is a reason I’m a Patreon, that’s because you and your team created something so incredible it’s hard to put into words. If what you were doing was easy everyone would do it, and it’s a testament to your passion and love for warhammer, you and the team are awesome through and through

Kinglyknight

Thanks for the update! Honestly you should do whats best for you, be kind and don't beat yourself up too much, we'll still be here and support you <3

Thanks for the update and the new short! Keep on keeping on dude and get plenty of rest.

Lyner

*hugs* look after yourself, mate! I love this series, but I dont want it at the cost of your physically or mental health. I am sure many people are like me and will happily for you work at a pace that is managable for you. And if you need us to support you on a website other this one, tell us where to go and we will fucking go there. Be kind to yourself, you glorious bastard!

Cant hurt to also set up youtube membership rewards. Its really easy to set up and works basically the same way anyway

Hirumaredx

You could always start a TTS onlyfans if patreon goes under... But yeah like others have mentioned subscribe star looks like a decent alternative. Also don't kill yourself and screw those people who say that you ain't working or something, we love and the whole team and eagerly but patiently await any content you decide to deliver!

matt

Everything seems to check out here.. You are getting things done and staying active.. I'm totally fine with it! Keep up the good work and do be careful with IKEA... People have been known to disappear in them forever.... (SCP-3008) lol.

Yahsho Jinn

Shit man I just died at Ikea.

GUYFUN

You got it bro, keep up the good work. Love all the series.

Zachary Bleam

“...my glutes are becoming more powerful by the day.” - Every Custodian Liked That

Jack Ponder

Hey, no worries man! You gotta work at the pace that feels right for the quality you want, and sometimes things slow down because life happens. We can all understand that kind of thing (any big project I ever worked on was ALWAYS a stressor!). Also glad to hear you're taking steps to look after yourself. And hey... they make a very clear point of noting WarHAMS isn't denting your schedule every episode so I at least get that lol. You de-stress, take a breath, let your coworkers support you and come back strong!

Trevor Bond

Yeah what Jasper said. I've been hearing a lot of good about SS and use it for a number of creators.

If Patreon does die.. Which i somewhat find a tad unlikely, have you thought about Subscribestar? Pretty much the same thing, as far as I know it's less restrictive aswell

Rans

It makes sense when you think about it why you wouldn't always wanna focus on one thing, it's why bands (Muse is first thing that comes to my mind) that changes things up after album) since you are writing usually for the same thing, then all the stress going to the big famous episodes that keep getting bigger in terms of both size and frame, so no wonder stress might be getting to you. I really enjoy the shorts and audiodramas. This is honestly the first time I hear about the Patreon lawsuit and considering more of the bigger twitch streamers are going to youtube, it MIGHT be okay, doubt it will be as big a support as here, specially at start, but might get something.
