Update 05/29 - Taking Suggestions for Vox-Logs!

AY

As you may have noticed, I released two videos recently!
Or, well, one episode of BRO TRIP and one random audiodrama thing.
I am going to start work proper on EP29 pretty soon, but 'til then, I figured I'd also throw together a quick audiodrama again because, honestly? Pretty easy to put together.

However, I am out of ideas at the moment.
So I figured I'd come to you, the people keeping me alive, if you'd be interested in suggesting some ideas for a future voxlog that I could write up!

You can go as in-depth with your suggestion as you please, and OF COURSE, I will credit you for the idea in the description of the video.

If any of your ideas happen to spark my imagination I will use it as the basis for a script.
I will however more than likely take some artistic liberties with the suggestion and put my own spin on it, I hope you do not mind.
It also doesn't have to be just one idea, and I don't have to pick just one idea out of the many you might have.

The only guidelines I'd provide for this are the following:

1. Try and make sure there is some actual potential for satire or wacky hijinks in the idea.

2. Preferably do not involve characters or ideas that come from a source outside TTS or the official 40k setting. I don't want to do angry marines video ever ever.

3. In general, no idea stolen from any other sources. Reinterpretations or ideas inspired by other works is cool though, given the proper credit.

That's it!
For the record, I hope you've enjoyed the voxlogs I've released so far.
With how nicely the previous ones have been treated and how comparatively easy they are to make, I would like to make them a mainstay on the channel between the more grounded content.

That's it though!
Hoping to hear from you soon....

Til then,
Have a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update 05/29 - Taking Suggestions for Vox-Logs!

Comments

What about a vox on the Second/cursed Founding Chapter trivia for The Emperor to warp-storm all over? Like The Minotaurs, Red Scorpions, Raptors, Flesh Tearers, Lamenters etc?

SKetches

Another idea: a feature with Custodisi, exploring why he's become interested in Magnus. Perhaps it's an interview? Maybe Custodisi spent a lot of time poking around Magnus's room while he was gone for two years? I wonder what stuff he might have come across, and what stories he'd have to tell as a result. It might also be quite fascinating to hear about his time in Warhammer Fantasy, whether or not he was aware of the true identities behind the party of adventurers who slew him, and how he came to have a new prosthetic arm. I also wonder if he was aware, either during or after the fact, that he was being controlled by Magnus, and how he feels about that if so.

Kennedy Kooistra

I would be really curious to see if Trazyn interacts at all with the people in his collection, such as that one Custodian or the uncorrupted clone of Fulgrim that Fabius Bile made. I remember there was a mention in some of the earlier episodes of TTS regarding sending the Blood Ravens to go steal his entire collection, just to fuck with him. Maybe that deserves an episode of its own, but I would be ecstatic to see the idea addressed in any format!

Kennedy Kooistra

Anything with Nergal perhaps? Or maybe a longer chat log one with the chaos gods? Loved that bit

I just rewatched the scene with Rogal Dorn telling emps what he finds funny and says that reality is funny so how about Rogal Dorn stand up comedy?

Cypher does a vlog about his day

Was meant to be every 2 weeks, but hey i like what i'm getting so far.

GUYFUN

where's the next update. its been seventy six years

Vlaiss

What about "story time with big daddy E" his memories of the plague of M2.020

Yahsho Jinn

How about a vox log with Karstodes and Boy (perhaps Lord Adorable included) where the Boy helps teach Karstodes how to read a book (possibly from the black library or any other 40k related material)? All throughout Karstodes acts all high and mighty as expected, which could help with his 'rehabilitation' after he resigned s a caretaker and his double standard doubled over and died. It could be a fun little side story that both helps build the characters and expand upon the lore through whatever material is being studied for learning to read - aswell as their banter about the state of the Imperium. I realise since voice actors for said characters are not you yourself it might be a bit trickier to pull off, but perhaps some scribe characters could be added similar to the Deldars that got murderboned by Russ on the Drukhari craft. Or even other Custodes previously unmentioned could show up, or perhaps the Jojostodes briefly seen in episode 11 that never really reappeared.

Let's say the chaos gods all get on a conference bridge, they are having a "meeting" of sorts each one being their typical selves. It's of course going as off the rails as to be expected (chaos gods after all). Then, unexpectedly, another party joins the bridge... the emperor decided to crash the call... I'm sure you can fill in the idea much better then I could.

Josh Hoppes

Could we get a Vox Log covering the Inquisition, or the Ultramarines. They both may be becoming relevant to the plot of the story, and I'm curious about the Emperor's opinions about their history.

Larry Schultz

A couple of Mechanicus nerds find one of Cawl's hidden stashes full of memory backups and other stuff, and discuss the weird shit they find within.

Supra Optimo

How about Helbrecht reporting on the Status of his Catpeople and how Dorns Bois are doing with the decrees from the second Podcast Episode?

A Death Korps soldier, A tech-priest, and guardsman walk into a Nekron Tomb together to find an STC.

Mimic Kairatta

I think that's gonna be a plot thread in an actual episode anyway.

A starship crew going through the Warp and having a bad time of it. Could be the same crew that went nuts after the giant holy space beacon flipped them the bird (IT'S A SIGN FROM OUR LORD ON TERRA!) or the crew of the ship that transported Kitten and Magnus to Nocturne. If the ship was charted for this purpose, they might be wondering where the hell did their clients disappear to, and what's with all the Weirdness as of late.

Magnus nerding out in the black library with Custodisi trying to flirt, with Magnus completely ignoring him. Until Ephrael Stern shows up. She tries to fight Magnus initally, but Cegorach shushes them both as they are in a library. Que increasing tension between the two. Custodisi eventually slinks off, thinking that Magnus likes Stern.

Templar9999

A video on the Exodites or Chartist Captains would be appreciated.

Alberich

I have to admit, I'm not usually one for straight podcasts/vox casts, but yours are so funny, well-written and well-voiced that I'm just as hooked on those as I am on your more animated offerings. In rewatching some older episodes of TTS, I was reminded of the 'Emperor's Guide To the Galaxy' (vol. 1 and 2) that Magnus was supposed to write and Kitten to ensure it was distributed, by force if necessary--that could be a fun vox-cast, featuring some poor hapless scribe/custodes/whomever who has been tasked with getting the thing published, only to run into ever-more-ridiculous bureaucratic hurdles, until he finally loses it and makes good on the Emperor's threat (or some other funny outcome) Def looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Alfa, got one that's got LOADS of potential: Custodes arguing "Well what have the space marines or Imperial Guard (Normies) or sister's of battle (women normies in power armor) done for the Imperium?" in a Monty Python Life of Brian kind of tribute while addressing that whole Custodes kill the brazen drakes short story thing. Hell you could even get people to write in to point out their favorite space marine/imperial guard/Sisters of Battle moments of kicking ass. While the custodes dismiss them as inconsequential, unfabulous, trivializing it, and other petty reasons. Hell Custodes shit on other factions' accomplishments could be a series unto itself.

Drewscifer

hey there alfabusa! I did not manage to come up with that many of my own suggestions, but I stumbled upon something interesting that made me think of your mail: https://www.reddit.com/r/40kLore/comments/gsqy4z/a_while_ago_jim_reynolds_posted_a_list_of_his/ a reddit post detailing all kinds of interesting story ideas by a black library author that were not realized. Secondly, this marvelous artwork you might enjoy: https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryWarhammer/comments/gthaxx/convince_them_santodes_by_david_moser/

A slaaneshi demon has infiltrated the Imperial Palace and the first person she sees is Rogal Dorn, whom she tries to seduce to join chaos. This goes very badly for her.

Hmmm... you've never done any heresy content. Maybe a magnus/rogal/leman/corvus/not vulkan he's dead again/kitten flashback type of thing. They were all alive to see and live it, so you could use any of their perspectives.

Paul Stansel

Seeing how Badmouth created a back story for the Deathwatch Characters, maybe do the same for some of the others ones. Like the Raven Guard and their bad luck? Iron Hands and their hate? Salamanders and their compassion? Grimaldus again?

Fyodperor and the dark eldar. I can see some wacky shit going down.

Paul Stansel

Actually, you know what? I'd love some Leman-Lion interaction, one because I love how Leman is interpreted, and also become I love how the Horus Heresy interprets the socially awkward Lion El Jonson. They play off each other very well, in my opinion.

* Dreadnaught Radio: Dreadnaught share there stories of there wars and how lacy these 40 millennials are. * Excerpts from the Book of Lorgar: A reading from the minions of Chaos about all of the weird shit they do. * The Swole stuff: The Tale of of the Custodes eradicated the Genestealers of Terra with the Emperor reacting to it.* * Krieg them all: Krieg's men are thrown unto a paradise world and are given no orders and turn it all to ruin. Boy, in order to tread the path of a true Imperial Fist, one must be good at constructing two things: Forts, and Sandwiches.

I’d love to see some road trip style thing with Kitten and the gang. Also blood Ravens. Just more Boreale and Diomedes.

Rogal and Magnus try and come up with what to get the Emperor for Father's Day?

Perhaps a vox log of some of the following: Magnus and Rogal Dorn ranking legions/chapters based on their impression in current times, Tu'shan and Kayvaan Shrike talking about the other chapter masters and their impressions, or a chaos counterpart with Lucius,Ahriman and Typhus.

Erebusdidnothingwrong

Here's some quick sketches of ideas I've been able to come up with. Sorry about all the repeat postings, I'm unsure about where to post this, and I think I kept going to the wrong places. Anywhere, here goes: -One of the inquisitors (Ordo Hereticus?) who has not been banished to the warp for being a more decent person is trying to find his feet again doing some work for the Imperium, but finds it too easy to slip back into the Order's habits (e.g. casually calling for torture implements or asking for pyres to be set up). Decius might eventually show up to provide interventions ("No no nonono NO! BAD INQUISITOR! Remember the creed of the Manly Man-Emperor!"), possibly ending in Decius being a bit of a sobbing mess at some point and maybe breaking out some old-fashioned "tools" of his own in the end. -An astropath (the astropath who's been hanging around in the Throne Room at times recently?) is talking with a client about encoding, sending, receiving and decoding a missive. Only the client keeps getting their mind twisted into knots by learning about how his precise, simple message gets twisted up into imagery for transmission, and then despairing over how unclear the return imagery is, and how vage and infuriatingly convoluted the interpretation process with all the oneirocritica references turns out to be. And in the end the decoded answer is just a useless "maybe," turning the client into a sobbing mess while the astropaths sighs happily about "another job well done." -Decius and the (crazy) Custodians discuss how to rebuild the Manclesiarchy's temples. There's likely going to be some very odd head-butting over what to include and what to exclude, both in terms of "decorations" and the building's functions (e.g. gyms, steam baths, and "no girls!" policies - there might a protesting Sororitas present as well). -Rogal Dorn reads a fairy tale, recording it as "Lord Adorable" for the use in Black Templar induction cells (since the aspirants are still pretty much children at this point). Only, the fairy tale has been reworded and is read in the typical no-nonsense, dour Dorn fashion (e.g. Hansel and Gretel, but Dorn also includes asides about the witch house's building code and safety violations, as well as the lack of proper road signage).

Wordweaver Morgan Coalburn

1. Rogal Dorn would have to act as a Golden Throne Press Secretary, where he would answer potentially uncomfortable questions the "media" has, and also informing the citizens about Emperors daily schedule, who he has met and what is his official stance on the news of the day (Psychic Awakening maybe?). 2. If not the Golden Throne Press secretary, it would still be funny to see Rogal Dorn grappling with subtle communication incidents because he is always so blunt and dry. Maybe if the Ynnari or some other race (brutally cunning orks??) would try to make contact with Imperium and Rogal would have to act as the very sensible diplomat. 3. Another 3Y3-0F-T3RR0R@~WARPCHAT.

You know, a bit on the nose, but I would love to see TTS' interpretation of the Lost Primarchs. Or a look into what Omegon is doing, since he's the only head of the Hydra possibly still alive? Or the Soul of Konrad Curze inside the soulstone of his Crown of Night.

DarkInnovator

I’d like to see one where the black Templar’s try to get used to their “transfer brothers”

I wonder if the highlords can make rat dust legal for consumption?

GUYFUN

I'm always up for another TTS-podcast with the Emperor. As a topic, since you did the White Scars why not talk about the Iron Hands the other forgotten chapter ? Iron Warriors/Hands aplenty ! The Emperor learning that his most Darwinian of son has his own sons going the complete opposite of his vision. Having a color scheme undistinguishable from the Black Templars or the previous Dark Angels. The civil war they had. The fact that they are best buddies with the toastersex cult.

boronium

I'd like to hear more about different kind of chores the Custodian have to do inside the Imperial Palace. If unclogging the Emperor's toilet involves horrible sewer-monsters, getting high on Choas-mushroom spores and getting into such tight spots that not even the UTMOST GREASE covering Wamuudes' body can't help, then imagine what kind of death defying adventure "taking out the Imperial garbage" or "trip to the corner storium" would be like. So either that or more "If the Emperor had a podcast" stuff.

Steve Stevenson's Generic Industries Inc.

I've been surviving, and wondering about you. I'd recognize that avi anywhere, I'm glad you're still around!

Spectral Dragon

EYY!!!!! YO MY DUDE! How've you been?! Long time no see!

I have at least one idea, set side by side as the inquisition is breaching Khaines gate. Have Ahriman, Lucius, Kharn and Typhus trading stories with one another as they prepare for the 13 Black Crusade. You know, mabye off hour shenanigans, or TTS takes on canonical events. Perhaps have them go over the results of Slaaneshmas, or of the Imperiums recent reforms, Maybe even have them react to the Vox-casts from the imperial palace. I’m sure Ahriman would have something to say after Uriah brings word of the Emperor having Magnus “BROUGHT TO ME IN A BOX” and his soul returned from Tzeentch. All the while Ahriman is remotely monitoring the battle at the gate and updating the posse of champions when something interesting happens. BUT, at the end, the wave of light from the Starchild that spreads across the galaxy washes over them all the same, and everyone Freaks out before Abbadon rallies them back into focus, and double times all Crusade preparations. You DID have that plot thread of the crusade being prepared, but you had left it mostly untouched after the Slaaneshmas special. If you’re doing work regarding Gathering Storm, perhaps now is the time you pick up where you left off in Chaos. After all, Caidia still has to fall, and it’d be as good a time as any to lay down the Groundwork for it.

Brandon Guzman

There could be an adventure where the Lock Warden and his team are making the rounds and checking on the forbidden cells and oubliettes where unknowable horrors from the Age of Strife and earlier are sealed away for all time. The comedy could be about what some of the unexpected things are that are sealed away in there, and some of it could be some cringe worthy pop culture things from the Remote Antiquity of M2 or whatever the imagination comes up with that you and the team think would work. There could be desperate fighting and danger and its all a part of the normal rounds of the Lock Warden.

The Custodes or Inquisitors or Rogue Traders could go on shopping expedition deep into the Imperial Dungeons to the secret workshops of Jokaero Weapon smiths and inventors. The digi weapons and secret technology nuclear Custodian bolter rounds have to come from somewhere :) It offers opportunity for mayhem in a secret laboratory complex with space monkeys building super weapons for Custodians and Inquisitors. There could be a wacky Jokaero inventor that is like Q from Bond making crazy gadgets and dangerous things down there in the Stygian depths of the Emperors Dungeons. The dark secret the Imperium at large can't be allowed to know is its not the Terra-watt Clan or an ancient STC down there. The Emperor made a deal with space monkeys to provide them some safety in Segmentum Solar and they help out with the inventing and tech over the ages. Thats why the Custodians have the long term tech advantage over the Astartes and others.

Frist i whant to thank you for your work and hope everything is ok it you. Kepp it goin! As for ideas.... How about: 1- Mother and Father of the emperor show up and have a talk it him in front of Rogal and Maguns. 2-More warhammer fantasy stuff. Possibly Archon talking donw to Abbadon . Or a steam tank appering in the trone room. 3-More sister of battle stuff. 4- Vulcan and ther other Primachr oppion on the taco question. (Sandwich is better) 5-Maybe more warpchat? Or something more that shows all of the warp gods? 6-Ynnead and Slaanesh metting 7- Leman and Maguns having a drinkng chalege, it Leman lossing (flash back) 8-Rogal Dorn finding out about the conservertors and whants to do something about it :https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Conservators (I know you whant to keep things in TTS and normal 40k settings, do i think like Rogal ansering a question in regard to the conservators like in the Q&A would be good). 9- The Primarchs metting some of the would be "wifes" or "female companios of the empeor" true the ages (maybe another prepetual or a human close to the emperor) and asking why there was no sisters Primarchs? 10- Goin true Malcadore historical colections. 11- More Q&A, (IT Emps, or maybe the other gods and charecters can answer as well). 12- More sister of silence (and battle) love! 13- Seep freaks (orks) it euro beats. 14- Maybe a tf2 and tts meme or funny gag (like emps find out about ubercharge but dosent work on him, do Sandvich does but he refuses cause he likes tacos) 15-Maybe a Isha Vox- log or something like that. 16- More Red Gobo and a Gretchin Revolution! (More comunist memes, no offence) 17- Emps try to speak via morse code 18-Talking about the Imperial guard , like in a Podcast 19-Boilerboys (Feudal steampunk orks) 20-More Feural sthings of 40k 21- More Tau stuff. Like Farsight meeting Vulkan and Corvus or Emps 22- more AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 23- More Urist 24- Leman Russ reaction to Leamn russ tank (OR his reaction to the wolf thing in the space wolf) 25- The original shaman grumbeling like a longberd inside emps sub mind about the situation of things. Many thanks and keep up the good work! PS: More inspirational speeches like in If the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech Device - Episode 12.5: Awful Answers (the begining)

Zatarra Manetti

I wanna know who the dude was who had to give Alpharius and Omegon identical tattoos.

Boy needs to ask awkward questions around the term "gene seed" every time it's mentioned by Rogal.

P8

Corvus Corax, Gunnery Sergeant Harker and an Ogrin have a discussion on imperial politics before Clancy shows up and promptly attempts to murder Vulcan again using ratlings or something.

Nameless Guardsman

I still stand by the, "Alpharius Was Here" written on the Golden Throne idea.

Zatarra Manetti

I would love to hear a Vox Log from Magnus. Don’t really know of what, but maybe it could cover him sifting through some of the many tomes in the Black Library with Badstitch Redthirsta

Tenacity

How about one of kitten and Shadow sun

Saul Harrison-coupe

1. He needs to realize, despite them being icky, Ratlings will drastically improve the quality of daily Templar meals and feasts. 2. He needs to steal a fabulous hair squig from an Ork and stick it on his head to prove his faith in the Man-Emperor BY BEING BEAUTIFUL FOR HIM.

P8

The Ogres should form a new special Palace "Ogryn" guard brigade under Custodisi's command. And then it turns out they're probably the most capable rank and file menial servants in the entire Palace staff (and they can't even speak good or read) for some reason.

P8

I'd like to see the Black Templars drop in too in that idea, just so that Dorn can get maximum facepalm and we can see tantrum-throwing Grimaldus and Helbrecht, NOW WITH BEAUTIFUL HAIR(-squig, that he stole from an Ork). And the Templars can meet Boy as a new member of Dorn family of good boys.

P8

Boy must save the day by reading a cookbook (an ancient arcane Terran grimoire of the culinary sorceries) to Karstodes.

P8

PS: Can Custodisi and Magnus find Zoran the Bear in the Black Library? Being forced to read "history" books out loud at Spaceclowngod-point in a silly lisping voice of an anime girl? (OwO)

P8

To add to that...Cypher needs to get a vignette where he explores the DA ship he snuck aboard and see how the Chapter has changed in 10k years of service while he runs his pirate prank broadcast on SpaceTV. Of note...he really needs to explain about the "pole dance quarter" on their ship. Especially if there's a whole QUARTER of any area dedicated just to that.

P8

I thought up something: can we have a skit someday of Alpha Legionnaires infiltrating the Dark Angels and them wondering, through seeing how the paranoid and borderline-traitorous actions of the Dark Angels are, which party is the Heretics and which is the Loyalists? Especially when they turn out to be less trigger-happy and suspicious than the DA if someone like a random old lady saying, "Oh no, I've FALLEN and can't get up!" is anywhere in a Space Marine's augmented superhuman earshot.

P8

Boy's salary for his indentured servitude as official Palace Posse "boy" will be (per order of the Man-Emperor of Mankind, witnessed by Primarch Rogal Dorn, and notarized by Master of the Administratum): one meal item from the Imperial Palace employee Adeptus cafeterius per week, to the monetary value of one sandwich with slice of meat and choice of condiments, or of anything of lesser value available. This will coincidentally make him one of the wealthiest and most prosperous mortal humans on Terra (and thus the entire IMPERIUM/GALAXY), in the lower/mid-1% upper-class. At the age of 12 (I would guess). And Rogal Dorn will personally give him lemony snacks on days when he's shown true resolution and FORTIFICATION of self like a good boy.

P8

Can Karstodes and Waamudes hang out with their Warp-transported WHF RPG PCs? Waamudes and Wamri go on a glorious quest to seek out things to glorify their Emperor's/Lady's name. Karstodes just hangs out with Rolf and learns that having a "normal" dude as a friend (or at least not-clone-brother/son-thing-of-his-burgeoning-imagination) isn't bad. (I'm leaving out Custodisi simply because he's probably putting the moves on Big Red Spice Daddy for the main plotline episodes.)

P8

protoss-menagerie?

Spectral Dragon

I've changed my suggestion, this is the one true voxcast.

Spectral Dragon

Shadowsun reading humiliating stories about Kitten from her diary.

MikeL

I had an idea and it goes like this. An inquisitor is investigating the Dark Angels and finds something that leads the inquisitor finding out that the Dark Angels are secretly collecting large amounts of xenos "research" and "propaganda" particularly that of the Tau variety. This leads the inquisitor to confront the Dark Angels about their secret. As the astartes slowly move towards their weapons, the inquisitor threatens to expose the Dark Angels unless they tell the inquisitor where they had acquired the "research" and "propaganda". So basically every one involved is just a closet weeb. And possibly for the end a Dark Angel says something about the fallen and now that someone other than themselves know they brutally gun down the inquisitor.

Audiolog of Kitten and friends on either they're journey too or from the fabricator general, with mechanical memes aplenty. Mandatory Talking Bass upon Mars.

Alathar

How about a vox log starring the Orks? One premise is a bunch of grots sitting at a bar table making bets on when the next big WAAAAAGH!!! starts while chatting about the lesser known ork types to pass the time. The topics they discuss can include but not be limited to: stupid stories rambled by the Runtherds, the latest doomsday weapon being cobbled together by the Big Meks, the crazy operations of the Mad Doks, and the Weirdboy who's acting as the referee/radio broadcast of a wrestling match between Gork and Mork. Another interesting idea would be a Captains Log segment starring a Free Booterz Kaptain as he sails the stars to find a path to Terra to make a "trade" with Big E. The Orks need more love and attention Afla!!!

silentwave

You know, I wouldn't mind Magnus explaining some stuff about warp sorcery. Most people not into Warhammer probably have no idea how it works.

Maybe something with the Big E crew dealing with their fantasy battles characters they've just summoned into the universe?

Gulag

May sound silly but how about the Blood Ravens ranting about some of Vulkan's missing relics from their reliquary after Cato Sicarius gave them a visit?

A whole conservation between Boy and Dorne, or a meeting between the sons of Dorne

Maybe something on the minor Xenos races of the setting?

Scene could end with all of them yelling and bickering over each other without a winner, because there are no winners in this galaxy.

- Skaven who constantly fears being backstabbed, and people don't even want him in the bar (which is his only reprieve), because he smells of sewers. (possibly the Skaven gets killed right at the end of his complaint, by someone who continues complaining) - Dark Eldar Grotesque who just makes horrible gurgling noises.

- Tyranid zalgo hive mind talking about the endless, mindless hunger and terror of starvation. - Regular Imperial citizen, talking about having to work constantly and eating fucking sawdust, corpse-starch sandwiches every single day with no hope - Guy who was forced to work overtime, making him unable to return a library book in time, and was put in a penal legion as punishment.

- Inquisitor acolyte or something: "When I was forced to Virus-bomb my homeworld, the horror I felt was utterly implacable!" - World eater, complaining about his endless hatred from the Butcher's nails. - Inquisitor who has to make the exterminatus decision again and again, having to watch first-hand as Mankind descends into utter doom. - Female Imperial citizen: "I barely even exist in this setting!"

*ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED* Have....Have We Met? -comment on a post of one of these characters

shrubby1989

Let's try to divide it up. Hopefully it's collapsible, and doesn't clutter up the comment section. Examples of people complaining: - Regular astartes, working ALL day, no free time or payment. This bar visit is his singular free moment at present time. - Blood angels marine, who also has to fight red thirst and black rage. - Excoriators marine, who has to fight Dorn's darkness.

Nope. Leman proved that with the Inquisition in the Immaterium

shrubby1989

Only if ZorantheBear is available would that happen

shrubby1989

They'd actually have to give a shit first? They proved they are so out of the loop that they didnt even know about anything post War of the Beast

shrubby1989

An attempt by one of the Fabulous Custodes to make lunch for their fellow defenders while Kitten is away on Mars. Hiliarity and mass property destruction results. Volcano cannons should not be used to heat soup.

Jack Ponder

While following the servitor to the proteus protocol Hammurabi and the Lockwarden make small talk by debating the various pros and cons of various skitarii units they pass such as the Ironstrider Ballistarius and Onager Dunestrider. Eventually they pass a group of knights and begin debating which is better, shooty knights or choppy knights.

SenselessVirus

Short sketch taking place in a bar. Classic Bellman/Monty Python competition on who's got it worse, grimdark edition. I've got a list of characters complaining, but I think it makes the comment too long to post here.

Thanks man! Vulkan is definitely more Bob Ross like, but since he's currently on a series of adventures with Corvus, it doesn't seem right to do that atm. Plus, I could see Dorn struggling with the notions of adding an additional part to the structure "because everyone needs a friend" as opposed to symmetrical or structural necessity. Perhaps the Emperor could be chiming in with Ross-like suggestions that Dorn doesn't understand.

I love the first two, and the third would be hilarious if the krieg never got the idea that their lives matter and continued being suicidal.

Something with Karl. :)

medhathobo

That third one is pretty damn good.

medhathobo

Well there is apparently a chaos gate right under the imperial palace right? What if you did a custodes episodes where they treat exterminating the daemons of chaos the same way we treat actual custodian work?

medhathobo

Traitor legions rost the galaxy. Typhus, Lucius, and Ahriman giving their thoughts on life, death, and contagion throughout the universe.

The other two Custodes Dreadnoughts waking up and talking about how they ended up in their “Sexy Bloated Containers” or how it’s been like being a Dreadnought.

NovaCrusader727

Id like to see one for Helbrect post dad talk, a patrol of him trying these new methods to maybe mixed effect

Ian Struthers

How about archival voice logs of the custodies reacting to various events as they happen? Like hoge vandire, first black crusade, first appearance of the tau, necrons tyranid etc

James K.

I'd like to see one of the custodians try to explain the various Emperor-related people, like Saints and Sensei and such, maybe trying to convince an Inquisitor not to shoot a Sensei. Or one of them going "Wait, aren't Saints just Emperor-based Demon Lords?"

Any other restrictions on characters or VAs who are unavailable or too busy to record?

Drewscifer

maybe you could even hear the distant cries of sly marbo onboard the ship

Kinglyknight

That's a lot of work though.

Ruslan Lagashkin

and be really edgy of course

Kinglyknight

Corvus writing in his diary, he could talk about the armies that are on board his ship as well as speculations at the state of Vulcan and Magnus.

Kinglyknight

I have 3 suggestions: 1.) How about another Q&A? There hasn't been one in a while and you don't need any other voices besides yours for Waamudes (and the tts voice for the Emperor.) Since I think the first two were canonically not broadcast to the public, perhaps this one could be the first one being sent to the citizens, which is why it's a Vox Cast. 2.) Since you voiced the background Salamanders, how about a wholesome (or not) guided meditation from the Salamanders? No other voice actors needed (unless Vulkan's VA is available). For an example to use as a starting point, look up "stone flake on a lake Guided Meditation." For a more humorous example, Google "Bob Ducca guided meditation" for a hilarious and short take on a guided meditation gone wrong. 3.) A Bob Ross style Vox tutorial on how to build or fortify some sort of structure by Rogal Dorn? You'd need the VA to be available but if possible could be very funny and wholesome.

The Binary Son

Dadorable and Boy go to get a non-corpsedust sandwich.

Elderlucian

A diary entry from Kitten avout the Tau, or him meeting Shadowsun again. Alternatively, you could do a vox log between Khorne and Khaine? They seemed to have a fun relationship on the interwarp! Maybe a very old one about Malcador's thoughts about the primarchs?

George Campbell

I would give A LOT to hear something Tau related. Either: ABSOLUTELY NOT CANON: Flashback to Kitten & Shadowsun getting to know each other Or wacky, Ork-slicing and dicing audiodrama with Farsight & his squad

Nightingale33

Oh this would be beautiful

Nightingale33

Dorn and Magnus talking to each other about their daddy issues maybe. Possibly getting more and more drunk while doing so. ( I honestly don't know if primarch can get drunk )

If you don't mind giving credit to the creator I'd love to see your take on the Yu'Vath thech from astartes, like kitten or Magnus finding one of those weird orbs and how they interact with, tho I'm not quite sure how funny that would be

Yenklash

Best I can think of is a part of the 40k Setting that hasn't been touched on heavily in TTS: Rogue Traders. Perhaps the interaction could be between Corvus and a Trader since they now need additional carrying capacity for the Jopallan(dealing with a somewhat different money-mad type), or Marneus could run into one while they're trudging through the webway (they do get around to all manner of strange place), or even just a classic return to some of the original episodes, where the crew on Terra have to catch up the Emperor on how nuts RTs have become in the 10 millennia he was stuck on the throne.

Lady Malys me-time, perhaps it ending with someone interrupting it.

I would love something from the necrons. Maybe that one who collects paraphenalia from around the galaxy going through his collection.

Slaanesh was pretty thoroughly cock(?)-blocked in the last voxcast. Show us his/her attempts to get off afterwards, as well as something of the unfortunate Dark Eldar that just showed up in his/her domain.

1- The real reason why there aren't Imperial Guard Female models. Various characters get asked and give their opinion. 2- Ciaphas Cain. Doing anything. 3- Lamenters and their unluckiness.

Comstar (Not the phone company from the 3200's)

1. ANYTHING involving the Lamenters realizing how screwed they keep getting. 2. What the Fantasy RPG characters have done with their time in the 40K setting 'hell' they landed in. 3. A couple of 'missing' primarchs bitching about the Imperium and how much/little they'd like to get involved again.... kind of a private party line chat lol. If you use one, run wild... I just throw handfuls of seeds to the wind!

Trevor Bond

Either Kitten, Emps or Magnus attempts to teach Paradox-Billiards-Vostroyan Roulette-Fourth Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker to Boy and Rogal.

DT25

1. Galactic Swap Meet. Imagining that this wouldn't happen all at once in 40K, but pieces of conversations down the ages as various factions TRY to negotiate for their artifacts. The Ultramarines trying to buy one of Vulkan's puzzle pieces from Trazyn. AdMech bringing their pointiest thingamajig to try to get Vect to hand over an STC. An Ork Waaghboss trying to offer Dakka for a Salamanders Dreadnought, "Oy, 'ow much for da mean green stompa over dere?" 2. The play-by-play of a White Scars bike race. 3. The diary of a Sister of Battle who is feeling very confused after seeing the Celestial Shaman Queen 4. Trazyn's commercial voxcast where he's trying to drum up business like a used car salesman. "I've got anything you can think of and it'll only cost everything you've got!" 5. Skaarbrand's cooking nook 6. Cegorach hosting an open mic

Paul Calhoun

I would say use Boy, Dorn, and Magnus, and have them each trying to teach Boy about the universe, Dorn being to technical for Boy, and Magnus teaching him things Dorn would rather he not, and it lead to Boy learning really weird things about the Imperuim s history that the Emperor would rather he not know.

Maybe have an hour long episode titled as the next tts episode of the Emperor sitting in his chair only at the very end for a tech priest to come in and turn on his text to speech device activating his voice as he finishes of a conversation of great import

Brayden Aitkenhead

Rogals top ten buildings of the imperium maybe?

Brayden Aitkenhead

Eldar diplomacy? We haven't gotten much eldar.

Brayden Aitkenhead

Perhaps rogal form finding some of magnus's fanfiction or reading of some hombrew DND stories. Or rogal just using super primarch autism to describe something regarding building design or archectetuire.

Brayden Aitkenhead

Necrons frantically trying to tidy up their sectors before 'dad' silent King gets home

Jack Lawler

Hmm perhaps Magnus in the black library coming arcoss a matter of all sorts of content or possibly him reading about human history?

Brayden Aitkenhead

Something to do with Kitten and Shadowsun's totally-not-cannon love story.

Robertartin

Maybe a bunch of imperial guard regiments on a troop ship trying to explain their different battle-cants to each other, both regimental and squad based.

Taylor Tilbury

Or another Alternative, you could do one to catch up in the Fantasy characters in 40k. Get their ideas about the “wondrous” living standards of the 41st Millennium.

Scott Hodsden

Perhaps Dadorable can escort him home and see Boy and his family, and perhaps his friend Jimmy.

Taylor Tilbury

I would love to revisit Fantasy. Esidisi leading a traditional Ogre army in fantasy against one of the races that doesn’t have a clear cut counterpart to 40k and hasn’t been touched on yet. Would love to get a Custodians view of the Lizardmen or Vampire Counts.

Scott Hodsden

This is really good. Not only is it hilarious, but I would think that the fists would eventually have to figure out that Dorn is still alive, and this could be the angle for it. Something along the lines of someone notices that the name was changed from comic sans and are outraged until they find out that Dorn is the one who did it.

Austin Laverty

Due the Covid-19 lockdown i managed to read the Book Inquisitor with Jaque Draco (thanks for this recomendation). However it turns out that it is an actual trilogy. It would be interesting to hear what the cast thinks about the other parts. especially part 3 where Magnus appears.

Rhobar Eisenblut

A coaching session between Boy and Dorn, with Dorn teaching Boy how to be a feerce warrior, and Boy unironically having a knack for understanding seige tactics. Custodian intruding halfway through to chastise boy, and Dorn getting properly Dorn angry at him and ruining a perfectly good table with his bulbous frame. Another one guaranteed to be gold; an introspective monologue with Vulkan. Monologue being used in the loosest of terms here

Asmr necron sleep podcast

I like all of these, but the now "less angry" Black Templars being the "voice of reason" in a meeting of IF successor chapters has got to be my favorite among them! :D

I would love Dorn trying to teach Boy with one or more of the Custodies convinced that they're "helping"

Well, I think two of the top ones people would be interested in would be our other beloved Fabstodes giving us their own Top 20 listing of the Primarchs. However, I would like to suggest 3 potential ideas other than that, that are not as detailed, more concept like, but I think would be quite interesting. 1 - During a "diplomatic visit" to the Farsight enclaves Shadowsun and Torchstar are having a private conversation, during which Torchstar begins to tease Shadowsun about Kitten, making her really flustered. It can also include a scene of: Angry Shadowsun Shouting - "ITS NOT CANON!" , Torchstar in her mechsuit - *raises the cannon of her mechsuit with intent for puns* , Shadowsun - "Don't you fucking dare." 2 - I have been quite interested in Vulkan's psyche. Do you remember how in Ben 10 Alien Force when Ben transformed into Alien X he was stuck in a "mind scape" type of space, along with 2 other personalities that constantly fought and argues with each other and the body could not do anything unless all 3 of them came to an agreement? Idea 2 would be to have something like this happen in Vulkan's mind, while he was knocked out during the latest BRO TRIP episode, between himself, his Orky self/The Beast(I am suspecting he is stuck in there with him) and Brain-Ghost Ferrus. 3 - Loosely based on the Homebrew Of The Week episode 100, a guardsman approaching an officer or Commisar, very terrified, reporting to have encountered a Skaven. Said officer then scolds him with the sort of "There is no such thing as Skaven guardsman. That was a squad of Ratlings that just accidentally exploded our *insert very depressed voice* one and only Baneblade.", with the guard replying. "But, but sir! I saw it! It was an actual Skaven!" with the officer replying. "Guardsman, this is both preposterous and disgusting. Just because they look different than us, doesn't mean it is okay to belittle Ratlings by claiming they are some abominable alien species *insert serious voice* that doesn't exist. They have been sanctioned to exist for millenia now by the Man Emperor's decree, so as far as anyone should be concerned, they are all our fellow man, and this behavior of yours is being very racist." (or some angle like that) "Now return to your post!" Guardsman walks off. Officer - "By the Emperor...the nerve of some people." , a Skaven poorly disguised as not a Skaven walks up to the officer. Officer - "Ah, Private Sharpwhiskers, good to see you. Have you brought me that recaff I requested?" Private Sharpwhiskers - "Yes-yes, officer-thing. Me gift-give you-you recaff. No-none venom-poison in it at all-all." Officer - "Ah, excellent! Just the way I like it! With nothing venomous or poisonous in it!" Officer takes a drink, pause for comedic effect, officer drops to the ground coughing and dying. Officer - "*pained groan* Private Sharpwhiskers...what was...*desperate gasp for air*...in that recaff?..." Private Sharpwhiskers - "It was plague." Officer - "Oh. Oh I see. *sigh of defeat* *dies* Curious to hear your opinion about any of these.

(Hit the wrong letter.) Squid-Squig on an hydro world...

AbT3

I'm gonna say this once at risk of it being cast out of the ring of ideas: Fresh Tales From the Crypt. Bring forth the Fanfictionomicon!

TheEnderRebel

A day in the life of Boy Baking with Karstodeds

Andreas Fogelkvist

Magnus wondering where all of the Blood Ravens’ “gifts” come from.

You mean Squig?

shrubby1989

FUCK. YES

shrubby1989

All of these would freaking rock

shrubby1989

OH! What about Helbrecht following though with the Emperor's edicts after Episode 1 of the Vox cast, where he has to accept Psykers, Librarians and Cat-people (Who are confirmed) into the chapter fleet as honorary battle brothers.

AbT3

Might as well just continue the fantasy gaming arc then

shrubby1989

Thousand Sons planning a counter kidnapping of their father Magnus after the Choas Priest voxcast, inhevitably getting sidetracked by worrying about the custodian accompanying him just like Big E does

Marcus Falconis

A Vox cast where the Guardsmen Vox unit has been eaten by a Squid which ghazghkull talks to in a way to work on his speeches to the Ork masses.

AbT3

Poor Boy. You will have your moment in the sun. Well if you dont get sunburnt first anyway

shrubby1989

Corvus Corax hosts a poetry reading on The Raven's Claw for everyone. Only the blackest recaff and the blackest poetry. Tu'Shan spins chivalrous epics, iron hand reads from his war journal, Mogul Kamir performs traditional throat singing, sassafras gets interrupted by a message mid poem. It all goes terrible and corvus just wants to die even more.

MonkeySpunk

I possess an unyielding hope that something would be properly done with the Celestial Shaman Queen. Not sure how canon she is, but for sure she is like Conan in a dress.

Ruslan Lagashkin

Vox cast could also be from the master of the mechanicus finding some new tech or accidentally activating some tech he had Take the shaver for example, there's dozens of interpretations on how it was supposed to be used with some of the more esteemed magos believing it to be the long forgotten omnissiah blessed machine known as a lawn mower whereas others suspect it to be a bumble bee due to the noise and keep stabbing the master with epi-pens every time he turns it on Then one of the oiled trio comes along and uses it on his mustache (has one in the Palace already) and is either labeled a tech heretic or praised for discovering lost knowledge

Jack Lawler

Some ideas I think would work with the Audio log format: - A meeting of the Imperial Fists succesor chapters to organise the next Feast of Blades, with the now Not so furious Black Templars proposing "constructive criticism" to their fellow chapters. - Since they have not been featured heavily, Dante and the Blood Angles organising the successor chapters for the Baal defense and requesting help from the imperium while hearing all kind of rumours about what's happening on the TTS universe. - One of the Companions that is now trying to be a better trooper, learning and trying to guide a company of Korps of Krieg and trying to convince them that life is not to be squandered so easily. - Maybe not worth for a long episode, but probably good field for a lot of jokes, Ferrus ghost overhearing a meeting of the Iron Hands different tribes and screaming at them to stop replacing their body parts with mechanical components. - A videoconference of necron lords, playing the fact that most of the pharaohs are utterly insanse, with Trazyn and Szeras bikering about sabotaging each other's plans.

Casandra “Kalamity Kas” Toledo

I think an audio drama of that noir detective that stumbled across that gene stealer cult in your Halloween special could have great potential

Jacob Miller

Holy shit okay yeah, this idea is already funny I barely have to do anything

Alfabusa

But for sure immortal.....and immoral questions??

shrubby1989

Well we have had several voxcast publicaes so far. The Taco Heresy? Possible missed broadcast censoring of The Last Choas Priest? Opinions on Dadorable and his Angry Boys? Moustache Scars?.......how annoying Boy is???

shrubby1989

Rogal Dorn explaining to Boy how one becomes an Imperial Fist.

Lupi Inkenhoof

I'd suggest "Pin the tail on the Kitten", but with our esteemed Captain General running off cavorting with talking toasters, that might prove challenging.

What do you reckon the population would say in response to such a question? Would they actually know ANYTHING or would the masses on Terra be so extremely poorly educated they could not even tell you what a year really is? Perhaps the comedy would lie in the Custodes asking very immortal-centered questions to extremely mortal individuals, being almost to the point of blind to the true ignorance and suffering of the smallest folk on Terra.

Alfabusa

Dorn Playing with lego while the Emperor and Magnus argue in the background, could a be AMSR thing!

Daniel Vaughnley

Rogal Dorn Is Accidentally Discovered By One Imperial Fist Neophyte Because He Tried To Adjust Some Incorrectly Spaced Lettering On His Skeleton Hand Rather than Dorn actively pursuing the return of his hand (as he has stated he has no longer any need of it), he feels mildly inconvenienced by its loss and decides to see what has happened to it and finds that yes, all the chapter masters of the Imperial Fists have been writing their name on it, but one FUCKING CLOWN wrote his name in basically space-Comic Sans where its completely off, terrible, disgusting, horrific, nauseating, the usual. In a desperate attempt to fix this critical error, a Neophyte sent to clean the bone-pus around the hand stumbles into Dorn trying to fix it with his big Centurion hand(s)

Rogan

This, too, is an idea I very much like. Would just have to come up with a fun concept behind the particular Blood Game being covered, since none is like the other.

Alfabusa

Oh! I might just have to mention this as well; the issue with straight up suggestion covering books is that I have to actually read the books! Unfortunately, *I* (the person who'll most likely write the scripts for these at the time being) have not read those books yet, and I don't want to take a few weeks off to get through them just so I can write a script about em. There... IS however a Short that's been a long time in the making that is written by someone who actually HAS read the books! I've just been too lazy to put that one together, should probably fix that.

Alfabusa

The Custodes visit the Terran Population doing an Emperor on the Street schtick much like a ask the Emperor segment after everything thats happened on Terra in the last 10,000 years. Using Eggplant's buckethelmet as a vox transmitter

shrubby1989

How about having our favourite sentient stripper poles take us through one of the Custodes' infamous Blood Games?

But you already know the day will be one of extraordinary suffering.

Alfabusa

Unironically good idea.

Alfabusa

How about an audio vox of one of the Ciaphas Cain books? I can think of Dorn complaining about his rule breaking, the Custodes being like “ew he likes women”, and the Emperor being like “finally, someone who fucking thinks.” I know you already covered him a little bit in the first QnA of TTS, the one where people mailed letters to the emperor, but maybe a more in-depth review would be funny.

A Day in the Life of Boy. No, I'm not biased at all.
