My comp copies arrived early and I took a break from working on the new EC script to read the new issue. Solid comic, I hope folks who pick it up enjoy "Necronomicomicon" as well as the other two stories.

I'm hoping to wrap up my third EC story tonight. It's been a tough one to write, there's never enough space in an 8-page story to cram everything in and I never enjoy writing narrative captions, even when they're absolutely necessary. I had to do a lot of research into the vinyl record-making process as well as Synthwave subgenres for the script, two things I know nothing about (just like I knew zip about wine going into the "Red Blend" script). I probably screwed the music stuff up but all my mistakes will be in the script, the visuals won't tip my hand. Anyway, I'll be done either tonight or tomorrow, and then I can get back to my mail and DMs, the drawing board, and maybe watching a few movies this week. On Friday I have an online Call of Cthulhu RPG night scheduled with Scott Dorward and folks in the U.K. -- I'm nervous my internet will crap out on me and/or I'll screw up the game (that's how I get before anything involving in-person stuff online)

AndI need to get back to playing more with Winky. She hates when I'm working even more than I do!

Oh, before I get back to the script -- happy holidays to those of you in the U.S., for what it's worth. I hope folks get some time off away from all the garbage going on to relax and breathe.
