I overdid it.
The head doesn't match the body stylistically, it reminds me of those old plush animals that had plastic heads and were a little creepy. Hopefully the kid never noticed. They probably threw it out years ago.

Here's my weird free association. That description reminded me of a couple of Muppets hand puppets I had as a kid, which had plastic faces. The chief thing I remember about them is that, because their plastic faces were heavier than their felt bodies, the most interesting way to play with them was to throw them up in the air and watch them fall unerringly face first. (That's the first time in decades that I've thought of those and I'm delighted to see plenty of them on eBay.)
