Surf Mummy/Munny
Added 2023-09-16 01:11:36 +0000 UTCSome years back we were asked to do a custom Munny figure for a charity auction. We ended up doing a version of the Surf Mummy character we had done for a Minimates project.
I drew the basic design based on ideas we both had, Sarah did the wrap, board, "Mum" tattoo and accessories. I drew the eyes and teeth, possibly the exposed brain. Sarah probably painted the blue part of the eye and I'm sure she painted the brain. She's always been the painter and color artist in the house.
We were really into toys and vinyl figures back then so it was really cool to be asked to participate. I wanted to keep Surf Mummy but while he didn't go for a ton of money, I wasn't in a position to bid. It probably wouldn't have been the right thing to do, considering. But I miss the little guy!
I wonder where he is now. I wonder if he's doing okay.
