Update On The Hand

So, carpal tunnel at the wrist. And...C5-6 radiculopathy w/denervation in the paraspinal muscles (?!?). I looked it up but it's too much for layman me to nail down. Possibly a herniated disk? Pinched nerve in the neck? I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on T.V. Some spinal thing. Demonic possession, sympathetic magic curse. Gremlins. Anyway, it's the apparent cause of the tingling and numbness throughout my arm but especially the fingers, and my overall pain. 

Trying to get an appointment for the follow-up, explanation in plain terms and the next step. Very depressed. I mean, I knew things were bad, but seeing "carpal tunnel" in print isn't the same as wondering. On the other hand, I can't keep going without having this treated. Just typing this is painful. So, it is what it has to be. I'm trying not to get too worked up because I know the Covid tiredness and the bad tooth (also on my right side) is making things worse, and they'll all be taken care of eventually. It's not cancer. It's not amputation. But it sucks because I need to work. I'm so late on commissions it weight son me, I need to get the Beasts scripts done (and there's other issues messing up that schedule, unfortunately, beyond anyone's control), and I have an outstanding comics job and an upcoming variant cover (thankfully with a deadline in Sept/October). Just packing up art sales and doing laundry literally knocks me out right now. On top of everything, I made a terrible mistake and watched Killer Crocodile 1 and 2 last night. I'm not exactly advocating for my own physical and mental well-being with dumb moves like that. 

Anyway. It'll get done, everything will get done. Sorry for the venting. More later soon, more posts soon. I'm trying to get the Vroom Socko post in shape as well as the overdue World's Funnest retrospective covering the David Mazzucchelli/Jack Kirby Fourth World segment.
