House of Fun Update: 4/23/22

While the overall picture remains very positive, the last month and a half or so have been very difficult. She's been going into Manhattan five days a week for the past five weeks for radiation, on Wednesdays she also has a chemo session. Next week was supposed to be the final week, but this past Thursday the cyclotron wasn't coming online so she sat all day without being able to get anything done. So she'll be going in an extra day to make up for that. There's also the possibility she may be required to extend the sessions, but, fingers crossed, everything will be taken care of then.
The side effects have been miserable, as you might well imagine. Or understand, if you or a family member or friend have endured this kind of post-op regiment. In many ways this has been much harder than the first chemo sessions and the actual operation. Hopefully, this will all be in the rear view mirror before too long, with her recovery and the healing of time, rest, etc.
That's really the main thing in our lives these days.
Thanks for the kind words and e-mails we've been receiving from here and elsewhere in regards to Sarah's illness. I'm trying to get back to everyone, but between e-mail and social media and here, my correspondence is going about as well as a Louis DeJoy USPS plan. Everyone, eventually, to the best of my ability. I owe many people many things.
