My friend (and fellow Instant Pianist) Robbie Busch is one of the folks behind Head Sounds Records in Brooklyn, and he invited me to set up at their second block party taking place this Saturday, Oct 17th.
It's outdoors, everyone's wearing their masks and being sane and there's going to be live music and deejays besides the vendors and the record shop and whatever else goes on during the event. Bob Sikoryak and Ellen Lindner are going to spend time at a table with their stuff, along with other creative folks.
There weren't any issues after the initial event several weeks ago, so, I'm giving it a shot. I should be there from 11-7 or thereabouts with the kind of stuff I usually bring to a convention -- comics, trades, pins, odds and ends. I'll have the first Bill and Ted issue, I believe I have all the books in stock right now except for Eltingville and Calla Cthulhu. I might bring the portfolio but I don't know if there will be any call for buying original art. Who knows, can't hurt to take it. I might draw little index card commissions there if anyone's interested. I'm happy to just sign books if anyone wants to show up with anything, I mainly want to get out of the house and see people. Maybe I'll see some of you folks there (at a reasonable distance).
