2024-07-02 12:43:09 +0000 UTCbecause of the radiation poisoning as well as the fact the investigator abruptly closed the case after this fact makes me believe the soviet government was experimenting with nuclear power/weapons and accidentally killed this group from exposer and shut down the investigation after they realized it was their fault. It would make since, considering they all would have experienced around the same amount of radiation, why they only made it 200-600ft away.

2024-03-10 11:19:09 +0000 UTCI should complete this video before tossing my guess out, but it sounds like there's a chance there was a carbon monoxide effect in the tent from a heating device. The closures/zippers could have been frozen. In a panic, they slashed their way out of the tent - now their only source of insulated shelter is compromised. In -20 degree weather, you will very quickly become disoriented. Paradoxical undressing can also occur. If there was low visibility, confusion will set in and people will wander off and undress. A group of survivors may come together and desperately try to build a snow den. They may undress clothing that has become wet with snow, especially if it was their night clothes/PJs that typically aren't waterproof. Keeping those clothes on could cause hypothermia. Then, when replaced, they may not have had the brain power to match the correct clothes. As far as the blunt force trauma to all but one in the snow den - either there was a delirious attack or, without any weapons, an agreement to kill the others. That's the confusing bit for me. As far as flesh/cloth in the tree - scavenging birds can do that. Missing eyes are also the first to be eaten by animals or rot. And if someone makes a poor fire and falls asleep on it during hypothermia, that could cause burns. Or aliens did it all, which would be way cooler

Eyes are very easy to disintegrate, and bodies buried in glacial ice due tend to get skeletonized like the photos. The ice mummies of the Franklin expedition are preserved because they weren't expose to air: they were buried and stayed in permafrost. The main mysteries are what were their state of mind if clothes were exchanged, and was there some kind of nuclear event if they really had radiation burns.

2024-03-08 23:56:33 +0000 UTCavalanche makes sense for a number of the injuries. the skin and clothing in the tree tells a lot as if they were trying to climb to avoid it, they could've fallen down and broken ribs and such doing so. the missing eyes thing could've been wildlife. not sure about the tongue though. also, avalanche makes sense why they would leave so fast. could just be me, but i think it make sense overall

I think after they were killed, the Captors brought them back and didn't know which clothes belonged to which and just dressed them in what they found. Not as fun, but makes sense.
