Great story. Couldn't wait for it to post to RR so came to sneak a peek early. I think my biggest regret is that this story just accelerated exponentially. Kaz was just hit over and over with huge, life-changing experiences. While that is absolutely accurate in life; in a story it leaves the reader reeling. "Oh hey, new character. They seem interesting. And... we've moved on." Moreover, because of the pace, we never really see his relationships develop. They just appear and in two chapters he is now friends/enemies/rivals/etc. Then the story races on and with only a few exceptions there is very little upkeep to the ties he made earlier. Sorry, that went longer than I thought it would. This is a great story. I loved the theme. I can feel the research and depth you put into the characters when they appeared. Always sorry to see any of your works reach their inevitable conclusion.
