Hello all you fine folks!
This month I finally reached the height of my experiments in putting together the perfect toolset that allows anyone who uses my assets to create the most interactive maps. You see, the first experiments I did were mainly focused on using Roll20, a Virtual tabletop tool I had been using for years, as I believe a lot of us have. With little support for animation, however, it wasn't really alluring to see how far I could push my toolset for that system.
Along came Foundry Virtual Tabletop.

Now what's sweet about the tool is that it allows for a lot more room for user input. Creating macros, or triggers, whatever you prefer, I can now create animations that can loop, trigger once, appear, change the structure of the map, or even trigger a whole series of them at once in a chain reaction.

DISNEY & THE VAULT OF REMAKES
In order to showcase all these fun little tools in action, and help you create your own animated battlemaps, I put together an adventure module you can unpack into your copy of FoundryVTT and try out all these triggers yourself. Dismantle them and repurpose them for your own content.
As per usual I decided to go the extra mile, and build some custom tokens, custom creatures, magic items, and the art that goes along. The theme of the adventure is the Disney Remakes that have come to haunt us over the past couple of years, turned into monsters that haunt the village of Flim. Your players will be tasked to stop the big bad mouse in charge and stop this madness once and for all.

Currently, the adventure isn't complete, I'm still finishing up my art for the village (which will come accompanied by custom assets to create your own village, and possible animated assets to bring it to life). I'll draw up the BBEG and finish up the writing. But I didn't want to keep you waiting!
DUNGEONDRAFTERS & ANIMATED ASSETS
To create this dungeon I made one final update to the Nature pack with an additional 100 assets that include Tombs, Chests, and a whole bunch of skulls and bones to build massive piles of them. Find the link on the WEBSITE or the Back Catalogue.
Next up I also will update the Catalogue with a take on doing town/city maps in DungeonDraft. It will all be part of this month's pack!
I also updated the Animation pack with 15 more animated assets ranging from frozen orbs, runes, portals, and some first fire assets. You'll find the updated link HERE
I also plan on building more of these premade adventures, with a little help from some friends this time, that will be available to my Gold Dragons from now on!
MAPS, MAPS & MAPS?
I wanted to make this test my priority for the month, but I will still upload the 3 maps that come with my monthly set before I update the Catalogue for May. It includes the 2 versions of the Syndei Vault, a big outdoor snow map, and a village map (for my asset test)!
NEXT MONTH
Now that all these major tests are almost behind me. I can get into doing a whole series of smaller ones. So I do plan on attempting to build a series of maps next month that will feature a lot of indoors and buildings. So make sure to drop all your requests on the discord for that theme!
THANKS!
Thank you all for your amazing support, getting to take the time and see how far I can push these wonderful experiments is all thanks to you. This free adventure is a culmination to all that, and I hope to bring more of this goodness in the future!
Kind regards,
Bert | Crosshead
