2D Animated Maps

Hello everyone!

This post was one I had planned on making last Saturday, before leaving on a holiday with limited tech at my disposal (just in case I messed something up in uploading certain files to put up here, which I had), when I had a blackout of both my phone and laptop. Now I'm back, however, so I'm happy to finally be able to upload the files of my new 2D animated battlemaps project.

DUNGEONDRAFT

A project which I decided to build around the SNOW assets users had voted for last month, which includes 150 new assets (found in the NATURE folder (on www.crossheadstudios.com/patrons (or the DROPBOX)).

The showcase I made in the video on top, features a selection of said assets as they are part of a larger dungeon/adventure map I'm still working on finishing. (soon).

ANIMATED MAPS

Before said map is finished, however, I wanted to share with you my latest creations: animated assets. They can basically be used to replace any assets used to create your custom maps in VTT like ROLL20, FoundryVTT, ETC. These assets are specifically crafted for online animation in a .webm format. They are much smaller than gifs and have a lot higher quality in their alpha layer. 

This first ANIMATION PACK includes 16 animations (a waterfall, trees, a bridge, etc.) and are part of my $20 TIER if you'd like to get them, as they are a lot more complex to create. 

I do, however, also plan on making them available to users ($5 TIER and above) who are willing to partake in the "COMMUNITY" project.

COMMUNITY

Last month I started building a USERMADE MAP gallery on my website HERE, one I'd love to expand further, to allow anyone who wants to share their maps (as a lot of you have been doing on the DISCORD), by submitting it to this online gallery. 

As a bonus to all people who have shared their maps on the site so far (Xan3Own, Flabbaccino, Tcoromandel, Charlotte Colliot, Dr. Feargood, Moose, Guinhill), they'll all get access to my animated content. 

The same goes for anyone else who submits a useful (to define not just uploading a blank terrain map for this reward) battlemap to the gallery from now on. I also plan on having bonus rewards for the most popular maps, which could include things like custom animated assets, or basic assets. 

I'm also handing out a pack to Bill (on Discord), who has been helping answer any questions other users have had. And might include some new ROLES on the Discord for anyone who has been part of sharing or helping out others.

DISCORD

There are a whole lot more users who have been sharing their maps on Discord for quite some time. (CalmRosie, Andoo, Indie, Lancelot, Hudston, itsme shane, Benjamin (to name a few)) maps I'd love to put on the gallery, but I don't want to upload anything without your permission or anything that hasn't been uploaded into the shared dropbox.
