Dungeon Design & Animation
A couple of months ago I decided to move from my original pseudo-isometric style to a topdown in favor of moving into a more customizable design. Having more options for my illustrations, because of some of the limitations my original designs were faced with. Limitations I didn't really see a solution for, until this past month.
In the animation (and in your dropboxes), you'll see the updates I made to my "isometric" maps. The angle is 45 instead of my 33 original, making it much easier to flip designs (rather obvious), the first layer uses a much lower wall so you don't have obscured squares behind a building and each level is exactly 1 tile up and to the left of the level underneath. This makes the modular design much customizable in the future.
For $5 patreons, I've also included animated maps of each level, (without the levitation effect). Based on the feedback of this map I might do more animation in the future. (maybe try out some more complex concepts). I've also included empty layers and a png of the items of each layer.
I'll do some polls later to figure out what I should focus my time on for future designs and updates.
DUNGEON DRAW
Some of you may have noticed, DungeonDraw.com is currently down. There were some issues and I've moved to a demo page in the meanwhile which you can access HERE, where I plan on running some new tests there with the updated designs. Depending on the feedback of the latest maps, I might do some revamping so that's why for the moment it's back in demo.
In the meanwhile, all $5 users will find all the MODULAR TILES I use on the website in their dropbox. As requested I plan on updating them on both platforms in the future. I had to upgrade my dropbox to make room, so that's why there was some delay
CROSSHEADSTUDIOS

I'm also updating my www.crossheadstudios.com website to add more side content to tie some of my work together and organize it a bit better. You'll find notes on the worlds I'm building for my own campaigns, an organized list of my items, and I plan on doing the same for maps once I've installed a login for Patreon users. The goal is to tie it to dropbox so you can search and download maps from the website.
(You'll find an animated version of this Skycrest city map in your dropbox and one on the website if you'd like to check that out! )
I plan on doing a "priorities" and "map design" poll next to get your input on these matters. See where I should take my illustrations and focus my energy.
For now go check out the updated Dropbox, see what you think!
