Yes, watch Thunderdome. I think it’s underrated and it is so disliked because it became fashionable to dislike it. In reality, it’s better than the first movie.

Coby, don’t feel bad about getting emotional over animals in movies. A lot of us don’t like seeing it either. When I was watching this I was struck by how influential it was. It inspired a ton of post apocalyptic movies, and apparently every other 80s music video too. The sequels are all pretty good too, even Beyond Thunder-dome, despite its reputation.

Don't ever worry about showing concern for the animals. I've owned dogs all 46 years of my life (though Prince was more the owner of me for the first five or six years). I also just pretend that especially painful scenes simply didn't happen.

Btw I have a cat and love pets! It does bother me when a pet gets hurt or k****d in a movie or show. Even if it’s fake!

Mad Max 2 was filmed entirely in the Broken Hill area in far west NSW. The scenes involving the compound were filmed in an area called the Pinnacles, SW of Broken Hill. The very first and very last chase/ crash scenes were filmed on Wilangee Rd near Mundi Mundi lookout, near Silverton, NW of Broken Hill.

The movie has been considered as a neo western. Combined with the post apocalyptic world, which started in between the events of the first film. Also the tall guy that works with Max is actor Bruce Spence. He has been great in both U.S. and Australian movies. This movie has also been regarded as one of the top 5 action movies ever made. I love South Park’s parody from their 2024 streaming movie. The one with the weight loss storyline.

The movie was originally released in Australia as Mad Max 2 and then released in the USA as The Road Warrior. Fun reaction!

I remember the Road Warrior is how the narration begins and so do I, This is one of the greatest action movies ever , so intense it just draws you in there Mel Gibson 's iconic character is now so much deeper into the lone wolf Mad Max persona because of all that happened to him So Looking forward to this one Coby . 🖤🖤🖤
