Coby you rock the shit outta that leather jacket🔥

This was my introduction to Mad Max growing up. I thought of it as the original until later when I (grew up some and) watched the actual original... it's still my favorite of the 3 though.

Thanks Coby! Made my weekend.

Coby, yes watch Beyond Thunderdome. I think it does not get the credit is should. Love it This one was called The Road Warrior here in the US, It was a hit and then we found out there was a first Australia movie. Then Mad Max was watched in the states and the title seemed to change to Mad Max 2 I think around the Blu-ray release. i will have to verify that

Sweet. I was so horribly bored just now. I absolutely love his movie and it’s why I can’t fully accept any in the series that came after.

Hi, Coby. The beautiful warrior woman who died in the final battle was played by Virginia Hey. She also played one of the main characters in the sci-fi TV series "Farscape". In 1980 (the year before "Mad Max 2" came out) Steve Jackson Games published a table top game called "Car Wars". Each player created and controlled a vehicle outfitted with weaponry, which they used to battle it out as a gladiator-like sport in a post-apocalyptic setting. Surprisingly, the first Mad Max movie was apparently not an inspiration for the game. Instead, a couple of short stories, as well as the movie "Death Race 2000", were the inspiration. The 3rd Mad Max movie, "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" is not as good as the first two. On Rotten Tomatoes, the 3 movies get 89%, 93%, and just 80% respectively. It's not terrible, and some people love it, but it's definitely a dip in quality. The recent reboot, "Mad Max: Fury Road", is amazingly good, getting 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. If you haven't already reacted to the latter, you definitely should, regardless of whether you decide to react to the 3rd one. Lastly, never apologize for being upset when a dog dies! 🙂

Hey Coby, I wish I could be there for the premiere tomorrow. Thanks for doing the Sunday specials. I can’t always catch the premiere’s because of my schedule. Don’t know if I actually add anything to the conversation, but I’m happy to be there. I genuinely appreciate all of the hard work you do to entertain us. Hope you have a great week ahead.

Great reaction Coby! I hope you continue with the franchise. Every entry is worth a watch. If you decide not to fit in all of the movies, at least watch Fury Road. It's an action masterpiece, but I think you'll enjoy all of them. Miller's name isn't bandied about as much as the other great directors, but he just doesn't make a bad film, and the fact that he's been the director for pretty much the whole franchise is part of the reason they're all worthy of your time.

A majority of people don't like Beyond Thunderdome (#3) as much, but I quite like it. I very much enjoy all the Mad Max films. As far as the original Gibson trilogy, I'd rank them 2, 3 then 1. Then there's Fury Road, which is the best action movie ever made. Watched it many times and love it just as much every time. And I rather like Furiosa. Not a perfect movie, but Fury Road is impossible to live up to. When watching the Mad Max films, don't worry about continuity from one to the next. As writer/director George Miller has said, think of them individually more as something being told as a history story passed down as legend.

I'm just here for the gasoline.... Really looking forward to this.
