Patreon Extra: Bill chats with Erik and discusses "Fun in Balloonland"

Hello Traxians, Bill here.

Here's the first in an occasional series of Patreon-only chats with me, interviewing my coworkers and colleagues about their favorite RiffTrax movies.

Today's interview is with Erik Peterson, beloved web guru and keeper of the site, talking about his fascination with FUN IN BALLOONLAND! You can download this video here.

EDIT: Here's an audio-only version of this interview. Let us know in the comments if you'd prefer these as podcast (audio) posts instead! That way they'll work with the podcast feed.

I like the audio; I can do busy work while listening, as I do with radio shows.

I’m a little late to the party here but I like the video format just fine. PS - PDX represent!! :)

I think this is the only time I've felt uncomfortable watching a Rifftrax (besides Transformers, but that is a different type of pain). Ballon Land looks like an 8mm found in the crawlspace of...I'm going to stop there.

Bort Ward

I prefer the video. I wish some plex person would add these extras to the specials library (season 0) in The TVDB. I watch all rifftrax and MST3K through Plex at home so I can watch on TV.

1) My favorite riff in BalloonLand was Kevin saying "Balloons? This is an unexpected turn of events!" (or something to that effect.) 2) Off-topic but thanks for the the Scener attempt. It worked out in the end!

Daniel Frank

I just saw Fun in Balloonland for the first time last week on the RiffTrax Pluto channel and couldn’t stop laughing. This now rivals Mr. B as my favorite commercial/descent into madness. I was going to include that weird one that takes place in the janky Santaland Village, where the kid in the background keeps yelling “Wonderful!”, but that was so trippy I decided that one needed a category all to itself.

Wendi-Starr Brown

That was fun. I like that Bill is always trying new things for rifftrax and outside it (podcasts, comic books, plays, scripts, that blue meth from Breaking Bad, etc).
